They are a veteran squad that can turn it on when they need it
Auburn won't catch Carolina off guard. I see a 12 point win by UNC
UT blew a 25 point lead to Iowa. IOWA! Duke squeezed by because of a lucky missed tip in.
Hello? Do you not understand March Madness or did you not watch the games instead turning to changing headlights and cleaning your nazi gun.
I think UT will go the farthest of any SEC team

Just hand the trophy to North Carolina and not play the rest of the games.... clearly the best team in the tourney.

That's interesting. Cal took over at UK the year UNC won the first of its two titles in the period displayed in your graphic. I see Duke and Villanova also won two titles during that time. Considering the fanfare and recruiting titles Cal has won at UK, you would just have to guess that UK had done at least as well as UNC, Duke and Villanova, in fact you would have to think they've done better. But no, there's just one little title to show for all that money spent on Cal, all that hype, all those recruiting titles. Even hated and mocked and disparaged little brother Louisville has managed to equal UK's title count during that time. And UK fans used to sass Dean Smith for not winning "more" with the talent he had. Who has had more talent (by far) in the past 10 years than UK? Nobody. And yet there's that lonely little one title. Tsk-tsk...

Don't try to jinx us, Crotch. I am happy with the way we've been playing for almost all of this calendar year, but I can't forget the early losses to Michigan and Texas, both of which bother me more than the loss to UK, which, although not really close (like the Texas game) wasn't a blowout, either (like the Michigan game). But Michigan and Texas were in November, and UK was in December. But the one that really haunts me is the blowout loss at home to Louisville. Yes, that was early January and yes we beat them comfortably (twice) since that loss, but still. The only mitigating factor in that loss is that Louisville was literally running Duke into the ground (kinda like Duke did to UK in that opening season game) before they just imploded in the last 10 minutes. They were a broken squad after that, but clearly they had some horses this year.
I am hoping that we won't get blown out even if we do get beat, but at this point, I think any game left in the tourny could really go either way without being shocked. I wouldn't even be that surprised if Oregon beat UVa at this point, which would be by far the biggest potential upset left on the board. But any other game really could go either way. VT over Duke? After how they looked against UCF, I wouldn't even be mildly surprised if VT won that game. FSU over Gonzaga? I actually think FSU is going to win that game. Now of course, Duke and Gonzaga might roll VT and FSU and that obviously wouldn't be a surprise either, but I really don't think there is a clear best team in the tourny at this point. For some reason I can't see Oregon putting together a 4 game run to the title, but any other team I wouldn't be that surprised to see win it all, although granted, if Washington doesn't come back for UK that would be pretty impressive if UK won it all without their best player...
