Liberal justices could care less what the law actually says. They rule on how they feel about it.

Which president appoints a judge is sadly irrelevant. Liberal presidents appoint liberal judges who stay liberal for the rest of their lives.
Conservative presidents appoint conservative judges who frequently turn liberal. On SCOTUS, Kennedy was appointed by Reagan. Souter was appointed by Bush Sr. Roberts, the savior of Obamacare, was appointed by W. Only Scalia and Thomas (Peace be upon them) bucked that trend.
When Thomas survived the attempted high-tech lynching by Democrat Senators, who treated him like a runaway from the liberal plantation, I knew he would stay conservative.

I gotta say prof, that sounds a little Capt. Queeg-ish if you ask me. "Everybodies against the conservatives, even the conservatives" - I mean c'mon man. You've even got you-know-who agreeing with you. A serious red flag, hello... ...

I don't think tick is too happy to report this right now. DOW is up to 20,281. We almost hit 20,300 an hour ago. The DOW will likely close at the highest closing mark... evah!

Markets UP UP UP!!, sardis. Record Dow and Nasdaq. The President has only been on the job 2 1/2 weeks and his economic policy-tweets have proven to be boffo for business. Orange is the new gold!
What are you hearing? Dow 50k?

The sudden and unexpected reappearance of puter seems to have tipped the balance of power over to conservatives, at least temporarily.
Hedge and Tick need to call in JD for reinforcements. I don't remembering seeing JD since the election. I picture him building fearsome defenses around his house, in case the Brentwood chapter of the KKK or the Beverly Hills Nazis try to use human wave tactics.

Labels are so passé. I refuse to be pigeonholed - I consider myself neither conservative or liberal. I seek no one's counsel with regards to politics - I counsel myself because I have a very good brain.
And my hands are large, ftr. What they say about large hands and the other..well, that's true in my case. On that I can guarantee. Terrific. Not sad.

TMI on the hands.
I label myself a populist Libertarian. Populist because I am interested in the well-being of working class and poor people. I could easily be a Democrat if they acted like they did until the '70's. I don't get all excited by the Republican Prime Directive: to help the rich become super-rich through endless tax cuts and overall crony corporatism. If I was a GOP POTUS, it would look a lot like Teddy Roosevelt's presidency. He's one of my favorite presidents.

Trump crony visits Mar a Lago Friday and later tells various news outlets over the weekend that Priebus is responsible for all of the early catastrophes and has disappointed his boss bigly. So begins the Priebus deathwatch.

Ok, so now Chris Christie has weighed in on the Flynn matter. "Gen. Flynn has said up to this point that he had not said anything like that to the Russian ambassador. I think now he's saying that he doesn't remember whether he did or not," Christie said on CNN.
Apparently that's how they're going to play it - Flynn misremembered his November conversation with the russkie diplomat. Which is troubling on it's face, but that's where we are with this administration. Alternative facts and misstatements are the rule, lying is something the media and intelligentsia do.
In a totally related event, it's a mere 640 shopping days until Christmas-aka-midterms. Dems haven't been this excited since..well, no one can alive can remember when. Probably the Hoover years.

Like...
If you like your doctor you get to keep your doctor.
Obamacare would save the average family thousands of dollars in health care premiums.
Any nuclear deal with the Iranians will never allow them to have nuclear weapons.
Hillary's 10,000% return on cattle future investments in Arkansas was just shrewdness.
The Rose Lawfirm billing records, that were subpeona'd, but suddenly disappeared, then Hillary suddenly found them in a West Wing closet.
Benghazi was caused by a youtube video.
Hillary's email arrangement was perfectly permissible and was done by others.
The emails that Hillary bleach-bit'd only included yoga routines and Chelsea's wedding plans.
Hillary never sent or received information marked "classified" on her home server.
The Attorney General secretly met with Bill Clinton on a tarmac in Las Vegas, whose wife was under FBI investigation, the day before results of that investigation was released, but all they talked about was their families.
The IRS did not apply far more scrutiny on applications for tax-exempt status by conservative groups than liberal groups.
The electronic records by the IRS, that would have shed light on the above, were deleted by accident.

I see what you did there, but 8 yrs versus 4 weeks is hardly fair.
Better to contrast Trump's first month in office with Barack's or Bill's, n' est ce pas?

Certainement. Trump will provide a daily dose of verbal lunacy. Clinton and Obama had the good sense to pace themselves.
