Joe Goodman is an idiot; and only idiots listen to Joe Goodman.

I bet Joe Goodman would tell aTm that Times Square is a "can't miss" event when he goes to NYC. So now the question is, who is the idiot in this story, Joe Goodman, aTm, or you? It's not really a trick question, the answer is "all three". But especially you..

Auburn is woodshedding Kansas, Charles Barkley has got his whole section of the studio tricked out in Auburn regalia and talking about what a juggernaut they are. Kenny Smith and Clark Kellogg (and even Bernie Johnson) are LTAO. I like watching these NBA guys commentate about the tourny, they're having fun...

Wait wait wait... Auburn is STILL in the tourney? And we’re playing NOW? What quarter is it? I need to watch it...

That funny, TNT showed a graphic while they were recapping the UK game, it said UK has 28 Sweet 16 appearances (tied for most all-time). Maybe they're only counting Sweet 16's since the tourny expanded to 64 teams and not when just getting to the tourny counted as being in the "Sweet 16". You know, back in the 1940's when UK won most of their titles (and raked in all those "Sweet 16" "appearances"). And UK fans laugh at Carolina for counting their Helms trophy as a national championship (I don't nor do most Carolina fans).

And yet here's Crotch, touting first round tournament games from the 1940's as "Sweet 16" appearances (and all UK fans agree with him, in their desperate need for mythical "titles", like the recruiting title). Shameful. Granted, that was the hey-day of UK basketball (and the sweet days of Crotch's adolescence), but come on, Crotch. What is it you always say about storming the court? Act like you've been there. And by "been there" I mean really been there, as in won your first two games to get to the real Sweet 16, not just made the 16 team tourny in 1946. Tsk-tsk...

Dayum... we’re beating KANSAS! Aren’t they one of the top three or four most dominant programs in college basketball? Sorta like Clemson, or Oklahoma, or Ohio State, or Notre Dame are to college football?

Now that we got past a powerhouse like Kansas, we have a breather against UNC so that we’ll be well rested for Duke...

No. Joe Goodman would say go to the Medieval Knights dinner theater and cheer on King Arthur.

fwiw, if I were Alabama, as long as I knew the show cause was not going to happen for Pitino, I'd hire him in a heart beat. And he come to Bama in a hearbeat for Avery Johnson money

I think I know Byrne pretty well. I cannot imagine that happening.

But, yeah, a fired up Pitino wanting another chance would win.

I still think we will make a run at Prohm. He's an alum and an okay coach. If he turns it down, I expect us to go after some mid major guy. Cronin, Kelvin Sampson, Ritchie McKay, etc, or an asst at a good program like Nate James at Duke (etc).
