"I’ve gotten a real glimpse—during the campaign, I’d go around with Ben to a lot of different places I wasn’t so familiar with. They’re incredible people."

Serious question: Were you OK with the senate repubs not giving a hearing to Garland? Would you have felt the same way if senate dems had done that to a repub president in that same situation?
The way I look at it, both parties are playing hardball. The R's ran out the clock on a lame duck president's nominee for two reasons: it was to their advantage, and because they could get away with it. Just like the D's created the "nuclear option" because it was to their advantage and they could get away with it.
Either with this SCOTUS nominee or the next, the D's will probably filibuster a nominee. I don't think that's ever been done by any party before. Certainly not in my lifetime. But the D's will do it because it advances their interests, even though they won't get away with it. The R's will in turn invoke the nuclear option, even though they complained bitterly when the D's created it to defeat R obstruction, and even though it has never been done to a SCOTUS nominee. But they will do it because it advances their interests and because they will get away with it.
It's basically two parties one-upping each other.

Iran started this round of saber rattling when they launched that missile.
Haven't heard about the Aussie PM.
Berkeley doesn't mind left-wing hate speech on their campus. The parents of the snowflakes that are now rioting were '60's hippies that protested in favor it. Colleges used to places where free speech and different points of view were prized. That is no longer the case. Now free right wing speech and different points of view start riots.

Milo Waz-his-name, self proclaimed alt-right provocateur. Made a name for himself as the flaming homo who loves black dick but hates the owner of it. Says what your bigoted uncle says...only he says it smarter, and hipper, and taunts his detractors behind his Forcefield of Faggotry.
I wouldn't think he'd be in toe's playlist but what do I know?

I think UT fans built a bigger bonfire when Kiffin split for USC, fwiw.

I dont really know the first thing about Milo except Ive seen him interviewed once on CNN close to the election aftermath, and people who Leslie Jones got into twitter fights with were supposedly "his followers" and I guess that he's associated with Breitbart...but I do have some questions regarding your response above...
Does bluetick believe that people who have the audacity to try to attend a Milo Yiannopolis speech should get pepper sprayed in the face while being interviewed? That private businesses that have nothing to do with Milo Yiannopolis should have their windows smashed in? That crowds of people should surround motorists in cars creating a pretty extreme safety hazard for both motorist and "protester?" That people with bats and hammers should be bashing in ATM machines I guess to show how upset they are that someone scheduled Milo Yiannopolis to speak? Does bluetick believe this was a peaceful, law abiding gathering in which not a single person should have been charged with a crime?

I consider myself about as liberal as they come, but this kind of Berkeley style "liberalism" (I put it in quotations b/c it's really not liberalism) is disgusting. At the very least, by behaving like that, you've proven that the other side has beaten your ass down. Bunch of losers...

My description of Milo Whoever gave no indication at all about how I feel about mob violence. But since aTm asked...rioters who cause injury or property damage need to be locked up. Doesn't matter if your protesting abortion clinics or pro-abortion rulings. Suffragettes, civil rights advocates, for or against Westboro Baptist Church, football coach departures - whatever the cause may be, if you do the crime then you should do the time, no matter the strength of anyone's convictions. How does aTm feel about that? Agree or disagree?

Obviously agree. In this instance think government/university officials and law enforcement proved themselves to be either anti-law or just cowards.

But hey, who'd know more about bonfires than an effing aggie?

The rioters were the loser, definitely. Give him his hour with the Young Republican clubbers - they were just there to hear the raging fag parrot some of the things they themselves say (nervous titters over the dick stuff, though). Then he's gone - and forgotten.
Plus now Trump has his people looking at ways to hold fed funds from the university. Fuck with Breitbart at your own peril, kids..

I remember when Bob Jones University invited Ted Kennedy to speak. I don't remember the students rioting.
And as an aside: aTm, are you a PC principal?
