That was back when the Left loved Russia, wanted us to be more like them, and conspired with them against their own country.
The Anti-War Left was REALLY a Russian lap dog in the '60's:
Russian GRU defector Stanislav Lunev said in his autobiography that "the GRU and the KGB helped to fund just about every antiwar movement and organization in America and abroad," and that during the Vietnam War the USSR gave $1 billion to American anti-war movements, more than it gave to the VietCong,[19] although he does not identify any organisation by name. Lunev described this as a "hugely successful campaign and well worth the cost".[19] The former KGB officer Sergei Tretyakov said that the Soviet Peace Committee funded and organized demonstrations in Europe against US bases.[20] According to Time magazine, a US State Department official estimated that the KGB may have spent $600 million on the peace offensive up to 1983, channeling funds through national Communist parties or the World Peace Council "to a host of new antiwar organizations that would, in many cases, reject the financial help if they knew the source."[13] Richard Felix Staar in his book Foreign Policies of the Soviet Union says that non-communist peace movements without overt ties to the USSR were "virtually controlled" by it. Lord Chalfont claimed that the Soviet Union was giving the European peace movement £100 million a year. The Federation of Conservative Students (FCS) alleged Soviet funding of CND.

"Not balanced. More like a silver lining. Mushroom clouds are a bigger deal than watching snowflakes having their space spaces invaded."
Hey, as long as that mushroom cloud has the silver lining of disgruntled liberals, it's all good, right?

So, I was walking in the mall and I saw that there was
a Muslim Bookstore. The sign outside led me to wonder
just what exactly was in a Muslim bookstore, so I went
in.
As I was wandering around taking a look, the clerk gave
me the stink eye, but asked if he could help me.
I know I didn't look like his normal clientele, so
I asked, "Do you have a copy of Donald Trump's Book
on his U.S. Immigration policy regarding Muslims and
Illegal aliens?"
The clerk said, "Kiss my ass, Get out, and Stay Out!"
I said, "Yes, that's the one! Do you have it in paperback?

Trump's scorecard after one week:
Obsessing over the comparative size of his hands... oooops.... I mean the size of his inauguration crowds compared to Obama's: bad.
Ordering that the federal government start relieving the burden of Obamacare, rather than inflicting it: good.
Getting out of TPP: good.
Federal hiring freeze: good.
Restarting the Keystone XL pipeline: good.

Trump is hellbent to overturn the popular vote - that's a bigger bitch-sting than the pussy-grab video or the Russian jokes. If he can get an
alternative outcome on that one thing.. he may stick around for the full 48.

I think his obsession is childlike envy, pure and simple.
Of Obama: ("my peni... I mean my crowd was bigger than yours!")
and of Hillary: "(My votes are bigger than yours!")
A yuge combination of narcissicism and insecurity.
But besides his words, he's knocking it out of the park with his actions so far.

Loved every single one of these executive orders.
No more immigrants from 7 countries. That is beautiful, a great way to start the Muslim ban. Trump is getting 'er done!
Instead of the Fed giving money to San Francisco, take it away from them (and their illegal aliens for whom they give sanctuary) and use it to start pouring the concrete and placing the steel for the wall. THAT would make Mexico pay for it! The question is not if we should build the wall or not. The only question is which US steel company gets the order for all the rebar.
