Somewhere Bobby Knight is throwing another chair...... Puzzling how North Carolina got past Washington and Auburn when their players never have to go to class... :D

A few years ago DUke and UNC both played in Charlotte as an 1 and 2 seed, I do not get hwy UNC is playing in Ohio over South Carolina, UNC as UNC gets total screwed compared to past one teams.

It's probably in fairness to Duke, since an arena in SC would be 75+% UNC fans, making it a very hostile environment for Duke. Hey, I'm all for it, but that would basically be punishing a 1 seed instead of rewarding them. Not fair...

UCLA should go after Bruce Pearl.

Why do you want Bruce Pearl and UCLA to die?

Looks like PJ Washington will be out for the opener against Abilene in the tourney.

I dunno if its just my state of mind, or what this year, but when filling out my bracket it doesnt seem to me that there are very many first weekend upsets that I see happening. I think I only picked 2 tens and an eleven to even win in the first round.

courtesy of Golic and Wingo

At least one 7 seed or lower has reached the Final Four in each of the last 6 years.

I mean, I did have Loyola-Chicago in the elite 8 last year, but picking them for the final four would have been nuts.

7: Though 7-10 games feel like 8-9 games, they're not. No. 10s have never swept the No. 7s with the exception of one year. No. 8 seeds are 68-68 vs. No. 9 seeds all time.

I knew Duke wasn't a good 3 point shooting team this year, but I didn't realize they were the worst in the tourny. How many years has Duke flamed out of the tourny b/c their hot 3 point shooting went cold? It only takes one game. And this year they're not only not a very good 3 point shooting team, they're the worst in the field. Granted, this year they can score in ways that most of those other Duke teams couldn't, but still, if a team gets hot against them, they could be in trouble. Hell, we only made 1 of our last 20 3-point attempts against them in the ACC tourny and it still came down to the last shot...

"2008: Famously, the only time all four No. 1s reached the Final Four. But since 2010, only 12 of the 36 Final Four appearances have come from No. 1 seeds."

Only 12 total 1 seeds out of 36 FF participants in the last 9 years. Damn...

if you look into the LSU football board, that money laundering thing came out around the 14th.. There is a lot of supposedly going around but its interesting to read

Apparently Our Lady of the Lake (OLOL) is the official medical care partner of LSU athletics. Their CEO was busted back in November for embezzling A LOT of money from their non-profit foundation. The FBI has been investigating and the rumor is he is spilling the beans. Supposedly, boosters were instructed to donate money to the foundation so it could then be funneled to recruits. According to the LSU boards, the CEO was in much tighter with the football team than with any other sport. Will Wade is supposedly tied to the foundation too. It's speculated that is where he got the money to pay for basketball recruits.
