The Arlington Cowboys.
Plant says talks broke down with the Atlanta Fulton County Recreational Authority earlier this year. He adds that the team has not signed a contract with Cobb County, but he’s “100 percent certain it will happen.”
Trying to show who's boss.

Don't blame them a bit. Public funding is stupid though.

Cobb County will be on the hook for 2/3 to 3/4 of the stadium costs. Projected to cost at least $670 M. WHAT A GREAT DEAL!

The Cobb County commissioners wisely knew that voters would've told the Braves to fuck off so they are just going to raise taxes on their own to pay for it.

Bullshit like this makes me wish pro sports would just collapse. Feel bad for the Atlanta area...first the Falcons, now the Braves dick them over

That baseball stadium was once an Olympic Stadium you wanted.

I assure you I have never wanted to pay for an Olympic stadium in Charlotte.

Little Auggie never once gave it away, everybody had to pay and pay. A hustle here and a hustle there, Charlotte NC is the place where...

Last year for Jack Morris to get voted into HOF on the regular vote. Going to be tough with Maddux, Glavine and Frank Thomas, let alone Biggio who was close last year.

Will get increasingly tougher the next year when you have Randy Johnson, Pedro Martinez, Ron Villone and John Smoltz.

Ron Villone better not have any impact whatsoever on hall of fame balloting or we live in a more fucked up world than I ever even imagined.

yeah, I had a lot of fun slipping that name in there. Thing is, I have no idea who he is, his position nor who he played for.

I never even saw a game in the Ted.

I've been to the following places that are no longer in use for their purpose at the time: RFK Stadium, Candlestick Park (Giants game), Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium, Carmichael Auditorium, the Kingdome, Memorial Stadium (Balto.), Charlotte Coliseum (2nd one)

Places that have been drastically renovated: Carter-Finley Stadium, Greensboro Coliseum, Oakland Coliseum Arena, Stanford Stadium, Cal's Haas Pavilion (Harmon Gym when I was there).

I was in LA when the Staples Center was still being built. (I should say I was at the convention center when the Staples Center was still being built)

Concert venues I've been to that were/are sports arenas then and now: Hampton Coliseum, old Richmond Coliseum, Capital Centre, The Omni, Sullivan/Schaefer Stadium, Rich Stadium, JFK Stadium, The Spectrum.
