Bunch of idiots. There was lightning at the 1:25 mark and 3:50 as well as at least 30 seconds before as well. They're lucky nobody got killed.
That one football player didn't wait (#30 something). He was ahead of everybody.

I've got a couple of pics where lightning blew out a chunk of blacktop the size of a football in my driveway several years ago. I was standing in the garage when it happened. Can't begin to explain how bright the flash was and how loud. With lightning striking close, you usually hear the 'click' before the thunder. There was no click....just BOOM! Everything went from brilliant white to pitch black and my ears were ringing. TBH, I thought I was dead.... couldn't see because of the blinding light. I felt down my legs and realized I was still in one piece and after a few seconds, my sight came back to me. After gathering my senses, I found the chunk of blacktop smoldering........just 11 feet from where I was standing when it struck. The only thing I can figure what kept me from getting struck was there was a 6 foot wall beside the garage entrance between me and the lightning strike. About 10 seconds earlier, I had been standing in the door opening about 4 feet from the strike watching it lightning in the distance and had turned and started to walk back in the house.... took about 4 or 5 steps then BOOM! Someone up there was watching over me...no doubt. Today, I'm scared as a schoolgirl when it starts to lightning.

Maybe one day Stu will work his way up to a real newspaper, like the Daily Reflector in Greenville, where the investigative reporters know where to go when they need solid information:

you just wasted your 15 minutes!
I don't know how farmers can live like they do. Last year Corn about wiped them out, and now , everywhere east of the Mississippi corn is the best I've ever seen it in the fields.

What about the driver? Waiting at the cross walk until reload time, then driving right through the line of fire. Unless he has bullet proof glass on that civic he's a bad ass.

kinda sucks for the Bison - burned badly but has the will to live enough to outrun a grizzly - only to get a bullet in the head the next day from a park ranger

Still a bad ass, but I bet the shooters fired in front of him at the red car when he got to the stopsign. Then they angled left, as the red car drove away in the opposite direction, and fired behind the stopped car as he pulled off.

I never said he drove through the line of fire while they were firing. Still, he just pulled up, let them pop off a few rounds then drove through while they were reloading. I'd have been smoking tires backing the fuck out of there.

well the kid across the street didn't run off or even duck into a store.
I guess thats the difference in a gangland shooting - they know who they are going to kill ahead of time.
