I waited until he was old enough - tonight I watched Saving Private Ryan with my son. I wanted him to be old enough to understand all that was going on in the movie. I think it should be required watching for every young man to help understand what going to war really means.

Yeah, I remember trying to watch a VHS of Porky's with my then 8-year-old son. Wife didn't care for that either. Damn puritans...

that is bonding time for me and my son right now.
things are a bit better between us now. I bought him some Union Jack cosmetic contact lenses which he thinks is pretty cool so tonight anyways, I'm back in his good graces.

I'd say it's a sophomore year movie. maybe even late freshman year or over the summer. definitely not junior year.
