Yeah but the sheer violence of the collision probably made him see a penalty that wasn't there...totally understandable.

Sherman is now 25-25 in 4 years at A&M. I can't imagine that's acceptable to the Ag faithful.

Also, A&M was favored in 11 games this year and finished 6-6.

"It costs too much" to buy out his contract despite the fact that we pay him a salary almost at the bottom of the list of our conference peers and our in-state peers.

I would think that, like Alabama, A&M has big monied boosters who could defray the "pain" of tossing a failed coach a few mil.

If it's any consolation, I think A&M is the best 6-6 team in the country.

I mean, it's just staggering. Saw this on another blog, so I don't know if it's accurate, but...wow, just wow:
Vs
Oklahoma St - up by 17 with 12:25 left in the 3rd quarter (lost by 1).
Arkansas - up by 18 with 11:45 left in the 3rd quarter (lost by 5).
Missouri - up by 11 with 10:51 left in the 4th quarter (lost by 7 in OT).
Oklahoma - down by 3 with 11:27 left in the 3rd quarter (lost by 16).
Kansas St - up by 10 with 5:50 left in the 4th quarter (lost by 3 in 4OT).
Texas - up by 9 with 11:07 left in the 3rd quarter (lost by 2).
