I'm very sorry to hear that, Rat, but it's not the death sentence it used to be.

"Yeah. Last week, he went from DCH Medical Center to Brookwood Med Ctr, and from there they flew him to Duke"

Not surprised that any Alabamian of means, as the Bammer AD presumably is, would get his ass out of Alabammy (which favors praying in tongues over the afflicted) as quickly as possible and head for a bastion of rationality, i.e., North Cackalacky (even if it is Dook), where we actually believe in science and medicine. Good choice...

North Cackalacky (even if it is Dook), where we actually believe in science and medicine

words I never thought I'd see, even speaking relatively.

Did Moore hire, and later fire, Mike Price as the official head football coach at the University of Alabama?

Correct. He still has a copy of the signed contract

He offered Price a job. Price accepted, never signed a contract, and was the presumptive coach-elect for a few weeks.

Looks like Bill Battle will be the new AD.

Not sure I'm thrilled.

First SEC opponent for the Badgers since a 27-7 loss to LSU in 1972.
First regular season opponent? I know they've played in bowls against SEC teams since them (Georgia smoked them a few years ago for one).

I heard Mal Moore is retiring to live in sin with the previous Pope. Not true?

I hope Bill does as well for you as he did for us.

Bill wasn't a horrible football coach, but he won't be coaching for us. He averaged 8 wins a year. The problem was he started out great and each year got worse.

Apparently he is a good manager and businessman. We'll see.
