Fox News is like Dr. Frankenstein. They played a big part in creating the current political atmosphere in which a candidate like Trump is even thinkable, much less the repub nominee. But now the monster is loose and they are no longer in control of their creation. Ironically, Fox is probably the elitest of the "media elite" that they rail on so much. Hard to believe that they couldn't see this coming...

Fox News is the biggest cable news network because there is a giant market out there for what they are selliing. Somewhere around 30% of Americans get their news from Fox because they prefer a conservative spin as opposed to the liberal spin everywhere else - NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN, WaPo, NYT, LAT, etc. The marketplace of ideas created Fox, not the other way around. The Frankenstein, as hedge put it, is not Fox but the "deplorables" who demand that there be a Fox. If POTUS Hillary arrests all the cast and management of Fox News and talk radio, there will be a replacement for them in two weeks.

Pick your favorite October surprise that will end the candidacy of Hillary Clinton as is now being touted by the alt-right:
Danney Williams-Clinton is the 30 year old mixed-race love child of Bill Clinton and a black prostitute according to "new" allegations by Drudge
WikiLeaks release of a Podesta email that implicates Clinton associates in the assassination of Justice Scalia
WikiLeaks email dump reveals that HRC is conspiring with international banks to plot the destruction of U.S. sovereignty in order to enrich various global financial powers and her special interest friends
From InfoWars: HRC and BHO not only created ISIS but they manage the terrorist organization to this day. Alex Jones has knowledge of an arms dealer who has taken Clinton cash payments for weapons in order to arm ISIS fighters in Syria and Libya.
Hackers are set to finally release the "Racist Hillary" tape where she purportedly used the "N" word

It's ok to take a break every once in a while tick. Sit down, relax...forget that whole politics thing for a while. Maybe watch a 5 hour football game.

That would be the likliest, checking in at 0.00000000001% possibility of being true.

This time, the only third hour wasn't any better than the first two.

Point of order: if the Chicago Cubs win the World Series, then the entire fabric of the Universe will be thrown into random chaos. 1+1 may no longer equal 2. Gravity may no longer apply.
In such an alternate Universe, Trump would win the election. You have all been warned.

True chaos is always random. Redundant redundancy is redundant.

What if the Cubs play Cleveland? Does the multiverse wink out of existence?

It would be kinda cool to see Cleveland win two major sports championships back to back after such a long drought. I don't keep up with pro baseball at all, but for some reason I kinda like the Indians. The Cubbies, too, though. Not sure why...

The Cubby's last World Series win was in 1908. Their last penant was in 1945.
But despite this long stretch of futility, they have always been beloved by Chicagoans. It's really hard to get a ticket to Wrigley Field no matter how bad they are. Meanwhile, the cross-town White Sox won the WS in 2005, and nobody cared. It was weird. It's as if the entire state of Tennessee were passionate Vandy fans, no matter how persistently bad the 'Dores are, while the Volunteers actually won championships, but were ignored in their own state.

Tribe last won in 1948 - but they've only won 2 (1920 was the other), but they've only been in 5.
Cubbies have only won 2 (07 and 08), but they've been in 10.
Chicago, meanwhile, has 6 NBA titles, 6 Stanley Cups and a Superbowl, along with the White Sox win.
Cleveland? Even with the CAVS win, they're still Cleveland. They NEED the win.

"Cubbies have only won 2 (07 and 08), but they've been in 10."
See, they won back to back titles, it's the Indians' turn now...

There was a lady in my church near Chicago. She grew up on the north side, and was a HUGE Cubs fan. Even in her late 80's, she knew their batting order, batting averages, pitching rotation, everything. She died at 89, never having seen her team win a World Series. But, like all Cubs fans, she started every season by saying, "We're going all the way this year. We've got this new kid from the minor leagues that fills the missing link. I've got a feeling...."
