My how times have changed. UNC vs. UK tomorrow and not a peep on this board. Of course I guess only me and eCat even care. And goldie. Hopefully DS will show up with some sass if we win. And maybe Stu. Who knows, who knows...

Series History: UNC leads the all-time series, 24-15, and has won eight of the last 13. The Tar Heels are 12-5 against the Wildcats at neutral sites.

I just don't have any connection to the program. I was excited about them in the Bahamas but after they tanked against Duke and generally look like a high school team - and especially given that I can't match names to faces to half the players and by the time I do, they've left the program, I'm just bleh about everything.

Kansas is two more seasons of this away from passing us in all time wins, and unlike Carolina, there won't be a Matt Doherty to come save us.

No need to sandbag, I'd say it's 50/50 as to whose going to win. I can imagine any scenario, from either team winning a close one, to either team winning comfortably, to either team winning a blowout. I certainly believe there's no team that UK would rather beat than UNC. And outside Duke, there's no teams I'd rather UNC beat than UK, and even that's a close call...

I'm not sandbagging

we haven't beat a team in the top 50 this year.

Our best win was UNC-Greensboro who is barely in the top 100.

If UNC is up for this game I expect a 15 point loss and UK trailing by at least 6 points by the 14 minute mark at the start of the game.

Ya'll are better than that. We lost badly to Michigan (granted, they're good) and lost to Texas who then proceeded to lose 3 straight, so they're not that good. We've won a couple of other games by decent margins that were way closer than the final score indicated...

"Kansas is two more seasons of this away from passing us in all time wins"

UNC
All-time record: 2206-781
Winning percentage: .739
First season: 1911

Kansas
All-time record: 2217-841
Winning percentage: .725
First season: 1899

UK
All-time record: 2237-688-1
Winning percentage: .765
First season: 1903

I guess I take comfort in the fact that Kansas has played 70 more games overall than we have but only has 9 more wins. Not sure how UK has been playing 8 more years than UNC but has played 62 fewer games, which makes their win total even more impressive...

Who cares about UNC-UK. I'm just gonna sit here and savor some memories of seasons past when A&M wasnt awful.

Top 9:

St. John's: 1817
Notre Dame: 1845
UCLA: 1849
Syracuse: 1861
Temple: 1886
Duke: 2115
UNC: 2206
Kansas: 2217
UK: 2237

Less than 70 games separating 5 thru 9, Duke with a massive leap of 130 games better than the next closest team (Temple), then UNC with a virtually insurmountable lead (in my lifetime, at least) over them with 2206. Given the right circumstances over our lifetimes, I could see any one of UNC, Kansas or UK with the alltime wins title...

Where does Texas A&M fall on that list?

I'm sure we're just nipping right at the heels of the top 9...

Just think, one more basket vs Wisconsin 4 years ago and everything might be different. Cal would have 2 1and done titles and K would have none. Recruits would still be flocking to Lexington and UNC's title might not have happened at all. It's like a weird "It's a Wonderful Life" and coach K is Old Man Potter
