Warren: Thank you. Gun violence is a national emergency. When I become President, I will treat it as such. The single greatest obstacle to saving the lives of our children is the NRA. Every attempt at passing reasonable gun safety legislation in this country has been thwarted by this despicable organization. They have the blood of America's children on their hands, and I will put a stop to them, once and for all. On day one of the Warren administration, I will treat the NRA just like any other terrorist organization, just like the State of Israel and the Roman Catholic Church. I will order the DOJ, the FBI, the NSA, and the CIA to spy on every NRA board meeting, every NRA email, every NRA memorandum, every.... what... Joe... JOE? WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING???

I'm lost on why we owe it to the most educated people in this country to relieve their debt based on a voluntary decision they made.

The problem with people who think like is they don't believe money is real, they really don't think its other people's money that is going to them, it just being printed in Washington

and with the national debt we have it essentially is, but still, Its ridiculous to believe people should not have to pay college debt - not to mention its kills the competitive market. You think college is expensive now, just wait until Uncle Sam is writing checks to cover the art majors degree.

While we are at it Bernie, how about we pay off the homes of the people who bought McMansions and saw them get underwater with them during a market adjustment. Its not their fault the market tanked, every American has a right to a home, why not pay off theirs?

also people really shouldn't have to be burdened with unreliable transportation - its a threat to the economy by hurting productivity and GDP. Pass a law that everyone should own a car that is no more than 5 years old and give out subsidies to everyone that can't afford a 40K Camry.

Don't forget gambling debt

Cat, I totally agree with you. People who choose to go to college and run up $100,000 in debt to get a degree in art deserve to feel the grim reality of Darwinism and mathematics.

Free college is retarded. Just need to find a way to make it affordable so people can pay for it. While we're at it, let's make every goddamn thing affordable again so people can pay and not look for freebies. Anybody got a plan for that? I'll hang up and listen.

I would be for providing tax credits for anyone who graduated college with a degree in what the market place determined to be "in demand".

The intent being that these people would most likely land good paying jobs and they would be paying a high percentage of taxes for the remainder of their working life, not to mention incentivising people to go into the career fields that are in demand

Secondly, I'd be for relieving debt to college graduates to who say - go to teach in an inner city school that is failing or work in a hospital that support the indigent community , but it would have to be serving the traditionally underserved communities in America.

its really nothing new - we've been doing variations of this for quite awhile

in this case instead of giving tax credits to those who take from or have a need, the tax credit goes to those who will be contributing, just like states do to business to entice them.

36 Senate Dems (by my count) voted for a massive military spending increase last week. Fuck the lot of 'em. We need a party that doesn't want to spend ever increasing amounts of dollars on warmongering while millions of Americans get shit on by an anemic jimmy (or is it jerry?) rigged economy that has an ever decreasing pool of good jobs for folks who just want to work hard and make a decent living.

We may disagree on many things, but I agree that the US spends far more than we actually need on defense. We buy lots of ultra-expensive weapons based more on political pork than actual military necessity. Eisenhower was right about the military-industrial complex.

That said, you and your fellow Democrats are going to have a hard time convincing middle American voters that the current economy is bad. Nobody believes that. Who are they going to believe? The Socialists or their lying eyes?
