In historic first, Arizona Republic backs a Democrat for president, citing Trump’s ‘deep character flaws’
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/mor ... ter-flaws/
Since The Arizona Republic began publication in 1890, we have never endorsed a Democrat over a Republican for president. Never. This reflects a deep philosophical appreciation for conservative ideals and Republican principles.
This year is different.
The 2016 Republican candidate is not conservative and he is not qualified.
That’s why, for the first time in our history, The Arizona Republic will support a Democrat for president.

Economists, national security experts, diplomats, and newspapers that historically shill for the GOP. The Bushes. John Warner (yesterday), more on the way. HRC needs a bigger bandwagon.
Trump seems to be stuck on Jeff Sessions, Chris Christie, and David Duke.

If you stand for the National Anthem, you might be a deplorable.
If you know all the words to the Pledge of Allegiance, especially, “under God,” you might be a deplorable.
If when you go to grocery store, you tend to buy generic products, because you’re using your own money, not an EBT card, you might be a deplorable.
If you’re deployable, you’re definitely deplorable.
If you wake before noon, you might be deplorable.
If you call Islamic terrorists Islamic terrorists, you might be deplorable.
If you don’t have an Obamaphone, you might be deplorable.
If you don’t believe that global warming is “settled science,” you might be deplorable.
If you say "Merry Christmas" — you might be deplorable.
If you don’t mind showing some ID at the local precinct before you vote, you might be deplorable.
If you have more than one job, you might be deplorable.
If all of your children have the same last name — and it’s your last name - you might be deplorable.
If you resent training your H1-B replacement, you might be deplorable.
If you are a member of the National Rifle Association, you are absolutely, positively deplorable.
If you liked your doctor and wanted to keep your doctor, but now can't, you might be deplorable.
If you wear pants rather than pajama bottoms when you leave the house, you might be deplorable.
if you were passed over for the job even though you got a 95 on the civil-service test — you might be deplorable.
If you lost your security clearance and your job for mishandling classified information, you might be deplorable.
If you identify as a member of the gender in which you were born, you might be deplorable.
If you have an American flag flying in your front yard, you might be deplorable.
If you believe All Lives Matter you might be deplorable.

That ‘basket of deplorables’ Clinton mentioned? This is what she was talking about.
https://thinkprogress.org/trump-support ... .ic2s8o4rl
Polls conducted earlier this year found that 65 percent of Trump supporters believe Obama is a Muslim; 59 percent believe Obama wasn’t born in the United States; 40 percent believe blacks are more “lazy” than whites; 31 percent support banning homosexuals from the country; 16 percent believe whites are a superior race; and 20 percent disagree with Lincoln’s signing of the Emancipation Proclamation, which freed Southern slaves.
For context, Clinton’s comment about “the basket of deplorables” — those with “racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, [and] Islamophobic ” views — was directed toward 50 percent of Trump supporters. That’s a greater percentage than those who believe minorities currently have too much power according to the new poll, but a lesser percentage than those who believe Obama is a Muslim — a quickly discredited conspiracy theory that nonetheless brought Trump to national political prominence.

My man, Gary Johnson, shows the effects of smoking a lot of kush that he wants to legalize: After being unable to state what Aleppo is last week, now he can't name his favorite foreign leader:

His running mate seems far more qualified for the job, but in fairness, Johnson has been saying the whole time that it would be more of a co-presidency in the highly unlikely event they got elected...

I'm about ready to surrender to the madness. My choices are a greedy lying criminal, a thin-skinned blowhard crybaby, and now, and an airhead stoner.
Hedge, you're a consumer of recreational pharmaceuticals. Why aren't you on the Johnson magic carpet ride?

I've voted libertarian plenty when I knew my vote didn't matter, i.e., when I lived in California and knew the dem would win anyway or conversely in NC when I knew the repub would win. When it might matter though, I vote for who I want to win. For instance, I voted for anybody who was running against Jesse Helms (Jim Hunt in '84 in a very close race and Harvey Gantt in '90 in a not so close race). I voted for Clinton in '92 when I was living in NC (probably voted for him again in '96 when I was living in Cali but I don't really remember. I did vote for the original medical marijuana referendum that year, though). I voted for Obama both times, he won NC narrowly in '08 but lost in '12. Definitely will be voting for Hillary this year, as NC's electoral votes could be decisive. I'm just as concerned with getting the dumbfuck cavemen (and women) out of the NC legislature and governorship this year, though, they have turned my state into a national joke...

There's the rub: I don't want Hillary to win. I don't want Trump to win. I know Johnson won't win no matter what.
I have been leaning towards Johnson since Paul dropped out, but he has now proven himself as much an imbecile as the other two. He is the Sara Palin of 2016.
