The dispatch call was for a disabled vehicle, not an armed robbery. Why are guns drawn in the first place? Motorist never did anything threatening, never said anything threatening...he had no outstanding wants or warrants.

JD covered the shooting part, but then they stood around and left him to bleed out in the middle of the road. Maybe a little quicker attention would have saved an innocent man's life.

Just listened to her attorney on TV - The cop had no idea who he was. She "suspected" that he was on drugs and "suspected" that he had a gun because of the way he was acting.

Her colleague chose to try non-lethal force to subdue Mr. Crutcher. Seconds (two or three) later, she kills him.

She was wrong about the gun. The toxicology results are back, but it will take weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeks to release the results. Odds are if there was PCP in his system, they'd release that immediately.

I know they "found" PCP in his car, but the "big, black buck crazed on PCP" is almost as ubiquitous as "two black men wearing skull caps."

I wouldn't exactly count on "Law Enforcement Officer Affairs" to give an unbiased account.

The man may well have had a gun in hand (still to be proven) . . . BUT HE'S IN AN OPEN CARRY STATE! Did he, in fact, know what was going on? Was he concerned about the commotion and grabbed his gun to protect his child?

If he pointed his gun at LEO, hey, he had a bullet coming . . . but that is not what is alleged. They saw a black man with a gun in an open carry state and shot him. There are HUNDREDS of videos of cops encountering white men holding guns in states with open and/or concealed carry and the cops don't even draw their own guns but try to deescalate (I posted one).

The fact that the shooter was black makes the point - it's not about racist cops as much as it is about systemic racism. LEO have been trained for 200 years to criminalize black skin. Even in modern times, that has not changed.

PCP behavior has led to 4 cops being killed the last couple years here in eastern Kansas

all he had to do was obey the instructions and lay on the ground

instead we are going to riot some more over an individual with pcp in their possession refusing the police instructions and say its the cops fault they should have treated the gentle giant better

maybe if the cop had hummed the star spangled banner they could have at least got him to kneel down

Cops aren't black or white, they're blue. Some of them are trigger-happy. Only a few, but a few too many. Does that help?

But I thought the whole point of this routine exercise is to blame it all on slavery, Jim Crowe, the KKK, the Nazis, Republicans, George Bush, conspiracies, The Man, and above all, whitey!? And then, logically, start looting and burning down businesses in your own neighborhood.
