You can lose one game but it has to be early. History has proved that. You can't lose in week 8 and expect a chance.

Alabama could lose the championship game and the committee would still give them the trophy...

Shut up, Smokey. Duke has 3 first weekend exits than championships in the last 8 years. But every year that happened, they were in the top 5 at some point during the season, even No. 1 in 2017.
