McCann not being ejected & suspended is a joke. Nothing but a bunch of jawing would have went on if he didn't do that. He's a punk & I hope he takes one in the earhole.

No doubt. Hate not having a delete button (for your own posts) like at many forums.

As is well known, I'm not a baseball guy, so from that perspective, I don't see the big deal about the catcher standing in the base line. I know it's not baseball decorum to stand there and watch if you hit a HR, so it seems like Gomez kinda started it with those antics (although again, even that doesn't seem like a huge deal to me, but I understand that it's a violation of protocol). So under those circumstances, I think the catcher's response of standing in the base line and making the guy either go thru or around him is perfectly apropos. A little bit asshole-ish behavior all around by all involved, but I can't understand why some want to see the catcher get hit with a bat (or whatever) simply for standing the base line and challenging the loud mouth to go thru or around him. Just good entertainment for everyone...

I liked the guy who said he hoped it would happen more often, he'd like to see McCann stand in the way of Matt Adams, and the other guy said "Yes, but he's also smart, I think he's just let Adams go by". Looking at the stats, it looks like McCann is just as big as Adams. So what's the deal, is this Matt Adams some bad ass?

If I was a manager, and Gomez did that to one of my pitchers, his ass would get plunked once every game we played against them until I tired of watching it.
I absolutely approved of McCann's actions. Gomez is just lucky that Freddie Freeman didn't punch him as he rounded 1st.

This cracked me up.
McCann has been listed as day-to-day. No word on who will enforce baseball’s unwritten rules during his absence, though.
I love Karma

Braves and Dodgers? Doesn't matter. I think the Redbirds win it all.
