I am amazed that Dooley was able to put together such a nice class with the hand he has been dealt.
Nice job indeed.

Yeah, I'm fairly pleased too.
ESPN has our class ranked at #22. I wish we would crack the top 20. What do the other sites have us at?

Most have us easily in the top 20. ESPN doesn't count JUCO's which two of our biggest needs were filled with JUCOs so it hurts the rankings.

Any proof to that Top 20 claim? Links? Just wondering because outside of Knoxville, UT is not getting any press.

How about rivals.com?
http://www.rivals.com/
Shows us 17th and that's counting the 2 star kicker against us.
Loaded with 4 stars (10 I think), as many or more than many ranked 6 spots higher etc.
ESPN doesn't count JUCO's at all and that's why they have us ranked so low when in reality our JUCOS are the best thing about our class.
The ones that don't count JUCOS don't have us in the top 20 (I still think in the top 25 though) those the do count them have us in the top 20.
We are also waiting on a couple more that haven't signed with anybody yet but losing those two LB's hurt. We were projected to be top 10 with them because then the 2 star kicker wouldn't have been counted against us (they count the average of your top 20 recruits).

Excellent. I'm liking the two LB's we did get though. They look big and mean. Let's hope they are fast and can play.
And LOL at Jungle Dork eating crow.

I wish. Those boys could all kick. This was some kicker we picked up. He's a 2 star (almost all kickers are cept ours who was supposd to be #1 in the nation a couple of years ago and you see how that has worked out, kid can't kick a 20 yarder).
We only signed 21 if we sign one more our rankings should improve quite a bit because that would put the kicker out of the average.
But it doesn't matter what the class is ranked. We got who we got and they play how they play regardless LOL.

It all depends on how well they develope themselves of course.
That never gets old...
Wasn't Palardy highly ranked and recruited? That sure has turned out well.

Palardy was the #1 kicker and Darr was the #1 punter. Maybe we should give the 2-star a chance. He couldn't be much worse.

Well, he could be a one star.
Hey, I'm just saying...

Fuck, we just signed the (arguably) #1 P and #1 K this year. I hope it turns out better for us.

If he can kick the ball above Terrence Cody's armpit....he's a keeper.

Kevinole,
If it helps to cheer you up any, think of it this way: you can't be any worse than us.

I don't know if this has been mentioned, but ESPN moved us up to #21.
I'm liking where we are at.

In an article on Yahoo Sports, Pat Forde seems to think Coach Dooley only has one season left. That's just plain wrong, shouldn't have been said, and is bullshit.
Recruits notwithstanding, Dooley must win now

Of course if Dooley came up with a nice 8-4 record or something like that, then the chump talk wouldn't matter.

He couldn't finish at 8-4. There'd be a bowl game...8-5; 9-4.
CDD almost surely gets 4 years unless we have a repeat of this shit season. Pat Forde is fos.

Well, I was thinking of the regular season but you are correct. Such a record would get us a bowl game. Eithey way, it would shut some idiots up.
