ok so I have it figured out.

The HD Dvr is really no different that a regular twin tuner DVR in that you can only record up to 2 shows at once.

However the whole house DVR networks all the DVRs in the house so that they share a common playlist. So if i add another DVR, I can record 4 shows at once (2 on each DVR) but watch all 4 shows from any TV in the house.

The only thing I'm not sure on is if the second DVR has to also connect to your network.

Doesn't sound like you've read a book in awhile...

in terms of fiction, you're right.

I'm reading "The Gates of Fire" by Pressfield. So far, pretty good even though I know how it ends.

I was just making note that with 4 shows (at least) on continual record, there doesn't seem to be much time around the house for much else besides consumption of that content. I'm no better, and I don't even record anything. I'm just a slave to Law and Order reruns and the occasional classic on Turner Network. At least you take the kids camping. I think the MIF's kids would panic if they had to get out of the car outside the city limits...

its tough for me to read fiction anymore

honestly I just feel like its a waste of my time - I know that is an absurd concept but I'm almost to the point of obsession with D.I.Y. books and what not.

I've ordered probably 20 books from Amazon this year but not a single one was fiction.

I've been on a can your own vegetables kick lately and how to grow a garden for a family from a 1/4 acre of land. Ordered books on how to do all that, plus food storage , etc.

I've got at least a 1/4 acre of garden going right now and it could definitely feed a fambly of 4. I can't give the stuff away fast enough...

those deer are neighborhood pets. I don't even mow that part of my yard so they'll hang out there and eat

I just don't like them eating my grapevines

You gotta plant marigolds around them.

I started peeing off the back deck a few weeks ago because my bushes on the front porch were dying.

You can't encourage them to visit and then expect them to only eat the stuff you don't want. Or, I guess you can, but you're probably gonna be disappointed.

And, Rat, I thought the marigolds helped with bugs. I've never heard it keeping deer at bay.

Anyway, if you want to keep them away, get a beagle (however, the beagle will keep them away altogether - they won't just run them off when they're eating your grapes).
