So it's OK to terrorize citizens, just don't fuck with politicians? OK, got it...

Hoover never wanted a coup

he'd just get pictures of the guy with his mistress and then blackmail him to do what he wanted

all these people upset about Smollet getting off are trying to make it out to be alot more than it really is.

Obama is a Chicago guy

This is Chicago politics. Its been that way for a long time.

The only real twist is Rahm Immanuel getting pissed off about it when he knows damn well how it played out. But I suspect that is posturing

1. I was about 9 years old when MLK was killed and 10 years old when John Lennon let his wife break up the Beatles. I didn’t have much of an “ilk” back then.

2. Long hairs and commies ARE inappropriate and need to have tabs kept on them.

The Trump Administration has instituted a ban on bump stocks. You've probably heard about them from the shooter in Las Vegas.

The supreme court refused to hear the appeal on the bump stock ban.

I really don't give a shit about bump stocks, I didn't know that there were at least 500,000 people that owned them and I can't imagine why they would want one.

That said, a fully auto firearm is a gun that is designed and capable of firing multiple rounds of ammo with a single pull of the trigger.

A bump stock is a tool to help accelerate the firing of the weapon but it does not alter the functionality of the weapon. In other words , the gun still retains the charateristics of a single bullet being fired for each action of the trigger being pulled.

Constitutionally there is no distinction between a full and semi auto in the domain of the firearm owner. The constitution, as its currently interpreted cites that Americans should be able to own both, however the line between military and non-military has focused on the differences between the two. That was established begrudgingly in 1986. That's why gun owners get bent out of shape when some political type defines an AR-15 as military assault rifle functionally its no different than many hunting rifles such as the "every home has one" Ruger 10/22 or a Browning A5. They all have the same characteristic in design and functionality.

So while bump stocks are , IMO, very unappealing, add no value to the effectiveness of a rifle and are easy to support in terms of banning, they are a foot in the door entity that introduces the slippery slope of gun bans. Another item along these lines, high capacity magazines have been targeted successfully and then abandoned when challenged in court.

The thing is, you can get a bump stock effect with a shoestring and a belt loop.

It's feel-good incrementalism.

If you can't kill a deer with a rifle you shouldn't hunt. There's no need for AKs and shit like that unless you think the government is gonna getcha. Boo!

This guy forgoes the shoestring and just uses his belt loop. The shoestring gives you more mobility and you're not holding the weapon as awkwardly, but the way he does it works.

An AK is a rifle. But you can get the bump stock effect with a "plain" rifle.

Not a gun fan so I don't know much about them but anything rapid fire like the ones the bad guys on tv use shouldn't be allowed. A handgun, a shotgun and a normal good old fashioned rifle is all you need. Just like the good old days minus the mafia and their Tommy guns.

That guy looks like he's oriental. At the beginning of the video, he had a flat accent, but at the end he reverted to full kountry when he said "That's how ye buhmp fahr!" Or maybe he was just mocking the other dude...

yea, the idea of a "rubber band" rapid fire has been around for awhile.

I'm too pragmatic about it - when I see a video like that, what I see is a young man who just wasted about $22 worth of ammo

And that's how I feel about a bump stock.

But its not the governments place to outlaw them.

We have these types of hypocrisy in other aspects of our lives. The speed limit is 70, but they sell cars that can go 200mph. The drinking limit is .08 but you can get served multiple drinks in a bar

Only with guns is there this emotional attachment to Rat's flintlock mentality - even while the overwhelming number of gunshot victims in this country - and its not even close - is a single person being shot in a violent attack (or suicide). The guns rat mentioned are responsible for over 90% - probably closer to like 97% of gunshot deaths in this country.

matter of fact, there is only one notable incident involving a bump stock

banning them will have zero effect in reducing mass gun shootings. absolutely nothing.
