"Common reasons include high taxes, the state budget stalemate, crime, the unemployment rate and the weather."
The weather! I guess Toe and Prof want to blame that on Obama too...

No. The weather is all George Bush's fault.

Do you think the population is sharply declining?
Were I the author I might have said population has been in decline for decades..but who am I to question the Tribune? They're selling papers.

Worse than Detroit, OMG!
Let's see, a state versus a city? Yeah, worse.
Ok, feel free to post the bankruptcy proceedings from each.

Chicagoans can at least afford to leave. KS and LA sufferers can't rub two nickels together for bus fare.
Yuge shakeup in the Trump campaign is being spun as taking the campaign 'in a new direction.' Interestingly though, Manafort gets demoted 48 hrs after the NYTimes ran that piece about him, the Russian strongman/Ukraine leader he worked for and the ledger tying him to 12 mil cash.
And then you have Ivanka, supposedly the smart one of the bunch, off vacationing with Putin's girlfriend. Smooth move.

Bankruptcy? A Trump supporter using bankruptcy as an example of lack of financial acumen? Funny. GTFOH.

Did Trump bankrupt Detroit?

Gotcha? what an idiotic response. You've never heard me say anything about Trumps bankruptcies. I've owned businesses and work with business owners. Bankruptcy is a tool (according to Christians an immoral tool) in business. Likewise, no business pays a 35% tax. We do not have the highest effective tax rates in the industrialized world, not close. Tell a business that they had an 15% tax rate but no deductions and they will howl.
While I've never said anything about Trump's bankruptcies, I know some people who have dealt with projects of his including one 6 years ago I advised to get out of a deal with him (only losing $300,000). She ended up losing 1.2 million.

Who's had more bankruptcies.....Loosianna or Detroit?

Crying? Mirror, mirror. You are showing your lack of knowledge about state budgets. Detroit could declare bankruptcy, (opposed by many in the city at the time). Kansas and Louisiana that is much more difficult.

Flip MS and LA, and you've got a Republican vs. Democrat map right there.
