might make them long for the days of religious bakeries and men/women bathrooms too. They'll look back as the good ole days of tolerance and freedom.

Ahhh, I see that (the borrow the immortal words of Sen. DiFi), “the dogma of religious bigotry is strong in you, and that is a concern.”
I’ll see your wiki quote, and raise it with another quote; what part of..:
“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof”
... are you finding so hard to understand?

Yeah, and obviously 8 Supreme Court justices that felt the same way, which you are obviously finding "hard to understand." I bet you're still pissed that they also ruled, unanimously, against Jerry Falwell in favor of Larry Flynt. Tough shit, punk...

Speaking of Supreme Court justices, now that the Left appears to be resuming its war on Christians, I look forward to seeing how the newly "woke" Justice Kavanaugh will vote on the latest attempts by the Left to nullify the religious freedoms guaranteed by 1st Amendment. Same goes for Trump appointee Neil Gorsuch, and - maybe coming soon - Amy Coney Barrett to replace RBG. The dogma is strong in Barrett too. So very strong.

You can exercise your religious beliefs, but you can’t impose them on others via the government. It’s a simple concept, but I see you’re unable to grasp said concept...

So-called conservatives such as yourself have been notoriously disappointed by actual conservative justices for... well, forever. You and your ilk were just sure there would be no way the Supreme Court would side with a pornographer against a man of god like Jerry Falwell, esp. as both lower courts had already found in favor of Falwell. But guess what? Supreme Court unanimous decision in favor of the pornographer. There are scores and scores of similar rulings that sent mewling little faggots like you into a tailspin and I'm sure this court will render plenty of decisions that will produce the same result. I look forward to hearing you whine about how they betrayed you...

In DS’s and hedge’s America, people coming here fleeing countries where they were punished for following their ancient religious beliefs that their governments didn’t like, must now be punished for following their ancient religions that the American government doesn’t like.
So the next time the Democrats are in power, do you plan the form the new Federal Ministry of Approved Theology, whose Directorate of Compliance sends goon squads all over the country, shutting down churches that don’t approve of homosexuality or abortion, and fail to pay the resulting punishment tax? That will not go the way you think it will.
And what’s your plan for black churches? They dislike gay marriage more than anyone. Are you going to sick your attack dogs and fire hoses on them, in the name of pluralism, tolerance, diversity and inclusion? That won’t have very good optics.
And what’s your plan for the Muslims? They dislike homosexuality almost as much as black churches. And they aren’t like the Christians; they are not into that “turn the other cheek” stuff. When your gruppenfuehrer shows up at a mosque and informs the imam that he had better start performing marriages for manyouks or pay the jizya, that will be a dicey proposition indeed.
Have you ignorant intolerant bigots really thought this thing through?

Difference is that discrimination based on race is against the law and the school was in error not only legally, but theologically. Discrimination against homosexuality is not against federal law or is it against state law in SC. Would they put the same litmus test to a muslim school or an Orthodox Jewish school because their religious position on homosexuality is the same?
I doubt the Christian school cares very much that the D.C. school won't visit their gym. It's interesting that the D.C. school still kept the home game open.

Corey Booker announced his presidential run
I'd be stunned if Cortez doesn't take a shot at it
A very crowded field of Democrats trying to see who can take the most from the wealthiest people - those same people they are relying on to donate to their campaign.
And the Starbucks guy, who actually makes some sense realizes the democrats are going to eat themselves during the primaries and can offer an alternative.
I hope he runs. He'll take votes from Trump but he'll take a *bunch* of votes from Democrats who have scared the moderates into thinking we'll be Venezuela 2 months after the elections

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), who announced an exploratory committee for president last month, defended her new proposal that would ramp up taxes on the nation’s highest earners.
“You know that top one tenth of 1% this year, taxes all in, they're gonna pay about 3.2% of their total worth in taxes to help keep everything running around here. You know what the 99% is gonna pay this year? They're gonna pay about 7.2% of their wealth. That's more than twice as much,” she said on CNBC Thursday.
“What I want is I want these billionaires to stop being freeloaders. I want them to pick up their fair share. That's how we make a system that works not just for the rich and the powerful but works for all of us.”

Warren’s tax proposal comes as Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.), who announced this month her presidential campaign, and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), considered by many to be a likely candidate, introduced their own tax plans ahead of a fight to court the progressive wing of the Democratic Party.
At least Harris has some sense to her approach. She's preaching a middle class tax break so she can court the big money donors.
Her legislation would provide a refundable tax credit of $6,000 for married couples earning up to $60,000 a year. Single filers making up to $30,000 and single parents earning up to $80,000 would get a credit of $3,000. The credit would then start to phase out. Couples and single parents with earnings of more than $100,000 and single filers making more than $50,000 would no longer be eligible.
Unlike a typical tax credit, though, the bill would also allow taxpayers to receive the benefit -- up to $500 -- on a monthly basis. This would provide families with an alternative to taking out payday loans, which usually come with very high interest rates, according to the proposal.
up to $60K for married couples eh?
not to sound out of touch, but does that really represent a sizeable portion of what we think of as the middle class?
