The Democratic Coalition Against Trump’s legal team announced on Thursday afternoon that they are filing a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request for Melania Trump’s immigration records. The Coalition stated that they are requesting “any document that indicates the type of visa applied for or issued to Melania Trump from January 1, 1995 until she received her green card in 2001.” This request comes after today’s widespread reports that she might have been working in this country illegally, under the wrong visa.

Trump has a problem with immigrants.

More to the point, he has a problem with lying, and apparently, his wife’s immigration status may not be quite in line with the tales spun by the Trump team.

Trump can do like the State Department and IRS and:
1. Ignore the FOIA request.
2. When ordered by a judge to comply, say that there are so many documents that it will take him years to comply. He just doesn't have the staff.
3. When the judge gives him a deadline to comply, bombard the requestor with thousands of irrelevant documents like Melania's shopping lists, hair appointments, etc., but nothing having to do with her immigration documents.
4. Eventually, claim that her immigration documents were accidentally destroyed.

I wish you were destroyed, accidentally or otherwise...

Trump should hire Lois Lerner and John Koskinnen as his FOIA compliance team. They have a lot of experience in that area.
