"All he has to do is go on TV and tell Americans - tell the Democrats to give me $5b for a wall and I'll get us back to work."
He already told Americans that Mexico was going to pay for the wall...

you're under the assumption that people who support him would care about that.
Remember when Obama said everyone would save an average of $2500 for Obamacare and you could keep your doctor?
You think Tick really gives 2 shits about whether that pile of horseshit turned out to be true or not?

I don't understand it, I work for some podunk turkey company and I pay like $30 a week for what seems like pretty decent insurance. I say "seems like decent" b/c the couple of times I've gone to the doctor in the past few years I only had to pay $25. And here you are working for some high tech company, why aren't they paying for your insurance? Esp. with as much money you save them by driving packages to Florida and such...

first, are you paying for a family plan or just an individual?
and even if you were or weren't, its strictly anecdotal. There is no arguing that for a vast number of Americans, Obamacare has resulted in much higher insurance premiums and worse, they are often coupled with outrageous deductibles.
They only focus on the relatively small % of people that participate in the Obamacare without taking into consideration how the mandates affected those who are privately insured thru company plans.

Oh, they considered it. It was baked into the process to eventially force all citizens away from private health insurance.

I live in the NC 9th.
Last week, it was revealed that the dimwits in Bladen County disclosed early voting results three days early. The NCGOP said that they supported a new election after that, regardless of the voter fraud allegations, because that type of data would be huge in determining GOTV efforts. It created an unfair advantage. Kudos to Dallas Woodhouse for finally getting something right.
Now the NCGOP is calling for Harris to be certified because nothing has been shown in public. Never mind the fact that the NCBOE doesn't disclose the evidence it has collected through its own investigation prior to a hearing.
I'm also shocked that people are just now becoming outraged over the shenanigans in Bladen and Robeson Counties. Robeson County is a cesspool of corruption and has been so for a century. It's so bad down there that last year one of the municipalities needed a second election because the first election was tainted with corruption beyond any possible repair. Bladen County doesn't have the reputation of RobCo, but it should. Corruption is just as bad there.
I have no problem with voter ID, but something needs to be done about absentee voting as well.
The Republicans have never said a word about absentee voting in NC, but that's because absentee voting was and is their dirty secret. In Goldsboro, the weirdos from the young GOP groups would go through nursing homes to get people in dotage to do absentee ballots. It's a damn disgrace.
Both parties suck. Zealots for both sides suck. Both parties fuck you over. Democrats just tend to fuck me a little softer and with some lube.

no doubt, when I said they only focus on - I meant the media and the people pushing the success stories of Obamacare.

I don't understand why the Fed raised rates.
There are clear signs the housing market is slowing down and there is a pullback underway in the market.
Just at a time where the job market is stretched to the point that employers are starting to pay wage increases - with inflation in check
and they want to slow down the economy which I believe hurts consumer confidence and that in turn leads to a recession
