That's my prediction: a gang of GOPers will call on Donnie and make the case for him to helo out, Nixon-style. Ivanka and Jared and the somber staff look on as Marine One starts up the rotors...no double victory/peace signs this time, just Trumps signature thumbs up. Melania's jacket says "U happy now?" Maybe they can get Lee Greenwood to sing something - "Take This Job and Shove it" maybe (royalties to Johnny Paycheck's kin).

You can see it in your mind's eye...

Dream on. Trump will be around until 2020 at least. The Dem House will impeach him for sure; the articles were drawn up in November 2016 - for causing AIDS, or being the mastermind of the Kennedy assassination, or some other chicken shit charges, but the Senate won't remove him.

And Cat is right. Trump did save the GOP by taking it over. Unlike all the other RINO's (McCain, Romney), Trump actually won. Unlike many of his GOP colleagues, Trump actually fulfilled his campaign promises and advanced conservatism. If the Establishment GOP types overtly turn on Trump, the GOP will lose most of their voters and will probably never win another election.

"Trump actually fulfilled his campaign promises and advanced conservatism."

I guess you're referring to that minor detail of an $800+ billion deficit as proof of Trump's "conservative" bona fides...

Yup. That's the only thing he's done worthy of impeachment.

2-6 years. In the Oval Office. After the Democrats impeach him for the Rwanda genocide and sinking of the Titanic, among other silly things.

Correct. Although that is not a finished job, nor will it ever be. Too many people out there are pretty hostile to the Constitution and want to get rid of it (especially those parts about due process, presumption of innocence until proven guilty, equal protection, freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom to keep and bear arms, and federalism). The Constitution will always need defending against such people.

Oh really?

I just stated that the Left is hostile to the the first amendment and its guarantee of free speech. Right on cue, this comes along the very next day:

Democrat Congressman Says “I would love to be able to regulate the content of free speech, but the first amendment prevents me from doing so.”

I am sure he speaks for millions of Leftists. These are the people with Orwellian instincts that the 1st Anendment needs to be defended against, constantly.

Of course, you and your Fox News brethren conveniently leave out the last part of his statement, where he clearly states "But I think over the long run, it's better that government does not regulate the content of speech." He was basically saying "yeah, I'd love to be a millionaire without having to do anything, but I think it's better that people should work for their money." Kinda like I'd love to regulate your speech, but putting a pistol in your mouth. But in the long run, I think it's better that I not do that.

The ironic thing is, 50 years ago, it was comedians like Lenny Bruce who were hounded into oblivion by right wing laws and the police for daring to say "fuck" on a public stage. It was liberals who fought against backwards ass people like you so that society in general could in fact say "fuck" in public, and have porn, and generally made the world a better place for everybody along those lines, but now it's exactly your unappreciative kind who are whining and bawling (as always) about liberals being the enemies of free speech, when the very world you live in today is completely the product of liberal efforts. But you're such an ungrateful idiot that you can't understand that...

does it matter if its the liberals now that are trying to take it away?

I will admit that the extreme left sometimes goes too far, but I know that those people represent a small fraction. But I also understand that in today's world of left and right bickering, it's to be expected that some on the right will try to pretend that it's all liberals who are like that, just like some on the left really believe that all Trump supporters are deplorable racists, although people like Prof will pretend that it's all liberals who believe that. But he's obviously got a pretty severe victim complex.

Honestly, I do believe that you should fight against whoever seems to be trying to curtail individual liberties, and I will also admit that these days it does seem to be coming from the left more than the right, but I think everyone except the most boorish dolt (like Prof, for instance) will admit that we are living in a world of individual freedoms today that would've been inconceivable 50 years ago.

I mentioned speech (you can say pretty much anything in even a PG rated movie, things that would've had the censors reaching for their smelling salts in the 1950's, and this is stuff that is now standard fare for teenagers), and of course, very near and dear to my (and, let's face it, all of our) heart(s), porn, something that Prof and his ilk fought tooth and nail against and would probably ban today if they could.

And let's not forget my pet issue, drugs. It certainly wasn't the liberal instinct that set up laws that have literally ruined millions of lives and cost trillions of dollars, and it certainly has been the liberal instinct that has legalized marijuana in many states and surely will legalize it federally within the next decade. So yeah, you can sit here and whine about some leftwing nutjob who wants to ban Ann Coulter from speaking on campus, but if you can't see that you have a thousand-fold more freedoms today than people had even 50 years ago, and mostly b/c of liberals, then it's pointless to even discuss it...
