I'm looking forward to it though it's not really the show that has me excited. Rather, it's the friends coming in town and the circus that should surround the while thing that will be fun. I'm not much of a Dead fan so it's quite possible that most of the show will be stuff I don't know. From last weekend, I knew more from the first show and think I would have enjoyed that one more. I'm sure it will be great regardless.

It was great. I have so much to say about it but I don't know how to adequately express my feelings. The shows were great - I liked Friday more than Saturday - but that was only a small part of it. Being in that group of 70,000 people who were so happy to be there and being with my friends (especially on Saturday when it was just me and the guy who got me started in all this 20 years ago) was really special. This, after spending the previous weekend at Red Rocks with Panic, made for just about the perfect week. A lot of people don't get it but I'm really glad I do.

Excellent. Without question Friday night was by far the best of the Chicago shows. The second set, especially, was as good a setlist as I've ever seen or even heard of. Saturday was the weakest of all the shows by a pretty good margin. But of course I'm just speaking in terms of the songs they played. As you said, just being there would have been a blast irregardless of what they played. But a great set list and strong playing is definitely a huge bonus. Glad you went and glad you enjoyed it...

I'm sure the over 45 hippie cash grab was fun for those addicted to shit music.

I've never been much of a Phish fan, but after hearing Trey cover pretty much the full spectrum of the Dead, and especially after getting to watch him play up close on the broadcast, he is one of the greatest guitarists I've ever seen...

He was born to play those shows. It was amazing. And, based on the look of joy on his face, it seems like he knew this was what he was meant to do.

That wasn't outright awful, but maybe they had been promised something much better...

For church music, it's hard to beat this place (check out the youtube video on the right side):

We know what effect LSD had on Hendrix. Here's what happened to some other military guys who were given LSD...
