I read that earlier today. I've always been skeptical but recently I saw where it stopped a kid from having violent seizures. I've never been against legalizing pot but I just never really believed the medical side until the last year or so.

THC is fat soluble, might be hard to get something that can detect recent usage or current intoxication. Pot doesn't really impair your driving anyway unless you're super stoned, and you probably wouldn't be inclined to drive in that case anyway...

Very cool. A billboard that produces water.

this time of year I can make a meal out of locally grown fresh tomato's and sweet corn. I eat so much of them I get sick to my stomach.

fuck you bell peppers though - whoever decided to stuff you full of perfectly good ground beef and call it eatable should be shot.

I saw that this morning - I guess it just speeds up the process since I think rabbits only purpose is to serve as food for bigger predators.

So you're a corn lover also?? I used to eat around 12-14 ears of corn every night at supper ( and that was after fried 'taters, beans, corn bread, onions, tomatoes, cucumbers and a pork chop) until I found out a few years ago I had diabetes. Now I can only handle about 4 before my feet start hurting and burning. Had a bumper crop of corn this year and gave most of it away - probably around the neighborhood of 250-300 ears or so to the neighbors and friends. Raised a type of corn this year called 'Gotta Have It'. A friend of my wife gave her a half a lb of seed at church. Never heard of it before. Suppose to be a triple sweet - the sweetest corn developed. Looked it up in my Gurney seed catalog and it sells for $59.00/lb. It was so sweet I had to give almost all of it away - hurt my feet bigtime only after an couple of ears. Give it a try if you can find the seed.

cool - its a bumper crop for corn around this part of the country - perfect summer for farmers.

I can't eat a bunch of tomatoes - the acid makes my acid reflux freak out - same with pizza or spaghetti sauce but Prilosec does a pretty good job of keeping it at bay. I've also learned that prilosec lets me drink like a fish and not have a sour stomach the next day which goes a long way in getting over a hangover quickly.

I can put away some sweet corn as well, I actually prefer it uncooked. Tomatoes, too. We've been slicing 7 or 8 tomatoes every night and eating them straight off the plate. Haven't made but a few tomato pies this year, not sure why. Unlike eCat, I love bell peppers too. Yellow and red more than green. Great for juicing, too...

I bet that diabetes diagnosis (type 2 for sure) was the least surprising of that doctor's career.

I'd rather eat a dirt sandwich than a raw tomato.

Tomatoes, at least in NY, are mostly shit nowadays. You can't taste a thing. The rare times you get a really good fresh tomato, it brings you back to realizing that tomatoes weren't bullshit orbs of wasted space. The thing is, I rarely eat them because those rare moments don't make up for the horrible shit you have to eat most other times.
The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place.
