People like Trump want to surround themselves with sycophantic yes-men. When Trump said a Hispanic judge was disqualified from hearing a case involving him, Newt said Trump was totally wrong, Newt's Vice-Presidency ended right there. Not a team player.
Trump likes Christie, but only because they are so much alike. But there is only room for one alpha-male attack dog on this ticket, and his name is not Christie.
Pence is perfect. Nobody outside of Indiana has ever heard of him. No personality at all. He has beta-male written all over him. Maybe his Midwestern blandness will appeal to Iowa, Wisconsin, and Michigan, where Trump hasn't been mathematically eliminated.

Looks like the Obama, Kerry, PAH foreign policy team have successfully turned Turkey into an Islamic state.

Was there a YouTube video offensive to Muslims that aired in Nice, France, recently?
And Turkey has been Islamist for most of their history. Their slaughter of Armenian Christians during WWI was one of the biggest holocausts of the 20th century. Ataturk started a brief courtship with modernity, but they are returning to just another medieval theocratic Islamic nutcase of a country.

Okay, he ain't Clint Eastwood. But he was a big deal 40 years ago, I guess. Joannie Loves Chachi was on for a couple of seasons. He was The Phonze's little cousin, after all.
So why did he say yes to Trump when no one else would take The Donald's phonecall?
"It's very simple, because when he speaks I understand him," said Baio in explaining his convention endorsement. "He speaks like I speak, he communicates with people very well. I want him, as any one person can do, to go into Washington and blow it up."
This is sooooooo great..

Ooops. Did not mean to forget this guy. Willie may get the loudest ovation of the evening (and may get some write-in votes along the way). He originally backed Cruz, but he has a flair for flexibility when it comes to staying in the spotlight.

You're really into the GOP convention. I'm watching "That 70's Show." I probably won't watch the convention all week. But please feel free to keep us posted.
