I think Obama's point was that the government has contributed so mightily to all industry's success in multiple ways that for any company to say they just created something sheerly on their own sweat and labor is ridiculous. But of course, he was howled down. Ironically, the whole bailout process was done under Obama as well...

yea I agreed with Obama on that.

but I also think corporations have an obligation to their community that takes priority over stockholders.

yep, no apologies for that. This obligation to stockholders first is bullshit when the country provides a safety net and business environment for you to thrive.
