This committee was very active during the Clinton administration. It issued 1,052 subpoenas to probe alleged misconduct by the administration and the Democratic Party between 1997 and 2002.
Clinton was banging an intern in the Oval Office. He also lied under oath about doing that. There was empirical proof of both (blue dress with his genetic material, video tapes of him perjuring himself). With Clinton, there was a LOT to subpoena.

By contrast, W was just a dumbass. You didn’t need a subpoena to prove that.

All of these calls to lock Ivanka up over her emails is a little over the top imo. When you consider past Secretaries of State Rice, Powell, and Clinton did essentially the same thing - not to mention soon-to-be VP Pence. And the networks running all that footage of candidate (and President) Trump screaming about emails and leading chants is NOT helpful.

I'm sure everyone here will agree that Ms, Kushner need not be investigated over the matter.

Ivanka... Ivanka.... isn't that a ... RUSSIAN name?

That alone should be investigated,

I didn't know Ivanka Trump was Secretary of State.

Ivanka did not set up her own server in somebody's bathroom, send and receive emails containing documents classified as Top Secret, lie about it under oath, and destroy the subpeona'd records using everything from bleachbit to hammers.

Anyway, all Ivanka has to do is say, "I never INTENDED to violate dozens of laws," and according to the Comey doctrine, all will be forgiven.

Funny how last spring Donnie was trying to gin up a DOJ prosecution of Hillary while he engaged in breaches every bit as serious as hers.

And it looks like Ivanka isn't the only one in the administration with email issues. So Russia..if you're listening….(j/k - they have no problems communicating with this WH).

Did he say Prof deserved a public hanging?

You're not allowed to say that anymore.

Correct. The word “hanging” is racist. You’ve gotta say “windpipe challenged.”

"Iffin he invited me to a public windpipe challenge, ah'd be on the front row. Hee hee."

Idk - I bet some people would still complain. You know how they are..

The late great Lewis Grizzard (Peace be upon him) liked say, “I’d rather go to a rat killin’.”

The animal rights crowd wouldn’t allow that today either.

The good economic times we've experienced the last 5-6 years are by all accounts are going to ebb -no surprise. Hopefully the forecasts of a major recession are wrong. The GM announcement hopefully isn't the dead canary in the coal mine. Seems like Ford made similar noises last spring, dropping several models. But with the yield curve flattening, with the stronger dollar comes inflation, the oil 'crisis', the tariff fight, the deficit etc. Etcetera.

Anywho, here's a little primer on Barack Obama benchmarks achieved after he was handed The Great Recession of 07-09. Things to remember before things inevitably turn to
shit heh:

1. Gasoline prices were at 14 year lows. 2. US mortgage interest rates were at historic lows. 3. US inflation was at record lows. 4. US auto and truck sales and profits were at record highs. 5. The US stock market tripled. 6. We went from a federal deficit of 10% of GDP to 2.5%. 7. We went from DOUBLE DIGIT unemployment to 4.9% (a 12 year low). 8. Americans paid the smallest percentage of their income in debt. 9. We went from over 21% of Americans not having health insurance to 8.7%. 10. The US economy grew while Russia, Japan, the Middle East, Europe and South America declined or remained stagnant. 12. We went from 1 in every 4 mortgages being underwater to 1 in every 16. 13. The highest percentage of high school graduates EVER went to college. 14. American families’ percentage of spending on food decreased to 9.7%. 15. Federal spending % of GDP decreased to 22.8%. 16. Because of automation and downsizing at the US Postal Service, Obama had FEWER Federal employees than Reagan, Clinton and both Bushes. 17. He reduced Bush's $1.4 trillion deficit to $438 billion. 18. Average annual GDP was over 2%, and never negative, for a total of over 17% during his presidency. 19. He made America strong again by increasing military spending 35% 20. Only 1 of 2 US President to ever win the Nobel Peace Prize

actually I was reading about GM

they are killing the Volt and the Cruze - both mandated to them by the Obama administration as part of the bailout of GM.

Neither were profitable.

If you're working at an American car manufacturer that builds sedans, you should probably try to find a job at a truck plant.
