I'm tempted to pick Houston beating Michigan

For a split second i had Michigan in my F4. But I already had MSU there, so I fixed it.

to be honest I'm tempted to say Davidson beats UK.

Coming off my euphoria of beating UT, my memory of the SEC sending multiple teams to the NCAA tourney is that 3/4 of them are back home after the first weekend.

Michigan and Gonzaga seem to be the darlings of the West regional...

Well...Gonzaga is the best team in the west regional...so that can hardly be a surprise.

UNC, Xavier, Michigan are the weakest 1, 2, and 3 in any region, IMO. Plus A&M is in this region. Im gonna go ahead and nickname it the "shitpile" region

I thought about that but Davidson isn't supposed to be there and Kentucky is going to torment its fans a little more than a quick, easy first round exit

Replace unc with UK in the West region and they're a Final Four team. As it stands now, they're a second round exit. Tough draw. Roy must have some really great pics of Emmert.

We didn't need Vanderbilt for the SECT but he will be out the first weekend of the NCAAT as well

I have no way to judge Davidson but if Knox is a no show or Cal decides he has to play Richards and Diallo at the same time, Davidson will have a 10 point lead. True of any team we face. At this point Cal seems to realize who he can go with but inexplicably he has stuck with Diallo and Richards the entire season until the SECT (he did start dropping their minutes when Vanderbilt stepped up) when everyone could see these guys were killing us.

He did it to give the best opportunity to get drafted , not because we would need them come tournament time. Richards didn't see much crunch time yesterday with Vanderbilt injured. Diallo played quite a bit but to his credit, it appears he finally realized he sucks and is in there so that Green and Alexander aren't playing 40 minutes. At one point this season his own son was more valuable in spelling minutes to the team than Diallo - if you consider the +/- of it

Well, if you had taken care of business during the season, maybe you would've gotten that second seed spot. UK earned its 5 seed, you shouldn't expect an easier ride than a 2 seed...

Winning the SEC tourney should have been enough for a 4 seed. unc lost 10 games, didn't win the conference and didn't win the acc tourney and still got a 4 seed. Go figure.

Nope, no purchase in winning the hoops tourny of a football conference...

I'm not suggesting that UK could beat a seasoned unc squad this season. I'm saying that unc got their usual 'cakewalk' to another Final Four. Would love to see those pictures.

actually we did take care of business during the season

Following yesterday's game, we had the same number of quad 1 wins as Duke, Xavier, and Cincinnati - all 1 and 2 seeds.

We were 10th in RPI.

SOS was 5th or 6th?

One of only 14 teams in the field with no losses below quad 2.

The issue is they weren't going to seed us above UT, Auburn or Florida

I think playing the conference championship on Sunday is bs. The committee has everything wrapped up Saturday night anyway. 95% of the country has an extra day to rest and prepare for the rnd of 64. Move the bottom four to Tues night - screw those guys, they're not going anywhere anyway.

I can say shite like this now that we've moved off the bottom. heh

I will say that UNC has been ranked higher and seeded higher than a team with 10 losses should be getting. Still, UNC is the reigning national champion. I'm sure you remember what that was like, crotch. Maybe you don't. It's been a few years and I know your ancient mind has trouble remembering to wipe your morning oatmeal off your chin.

Oh yeah, I remember but as long as Calipari keeps pushing players out to the NBA, it may be some time before I see it again. Next season will be the same as this. Alexander, Vanderbilt, Knox, Diallo exits and possibly Richards (transfer). Enter a new crop of fuzzy-faced freshmen and before mid-season, Calipari will be touting several of them as OADs. Tired of this crap. Calipari will NEVER win another national title at Kentucky.
