IMO, they've slowed everything down and the interactions with his wife are just painful. I hope he gets tired of her and shoots her in the head.
Somebody was grouchy this morning.

no its just indicative of these shows - whether its the Soprano's, Boardwalk Empire, the Walking Dead, even Newsroom - the female character's role is to foil the male lead by making him vulnerable. Its Samson and Delilah and I hate watching it play out as if its original programming.

you can throw Breaking Bad in there too, I love the show but there are scenes (and sometimes whole episodes) that are ruined by the female characters

Dudes can't write for chicks. That was the biggest complaint of a female filmmaking friend of mine. She loved The Wire but thought the female characters were only interesting if they were lesbian. Otherwise they were story facilitators and nothing more.

That's also true in porn...

a nice twist would be if the guy partnered up with a woman and she was just as vicious /ruthless as the male lead. That she wouldn't think twice about putting a bullet in the back of a guys head including his if he ever crosses her. But I guess the writers think that a male lead wouldn't be attracted to that kind of woman.
The season of Justified with the moonshine making mother was good television, but even with that, she wasn't an attractive sexual woman. She was a mean ass one.

I watched 15 minutes of Radiohead on ACl tonight. Where can I get a license to hunt and kill these fuckers? holy crap, Jungle Rat farting in a public restroom while being blown by a tranny hooker would be preferable listening. my god this is awful.

I like Thom Yorke, personally. I think their 90s stuff was better than their recent work, but I'm still an unabashed fan.
Catching up on the TV I missed last Sunday
1. Boardwalk - I wonder how long it takes for Mrs. Thompson to bang out the help again
2. Dexter - The shows storyline structure was very disjointed this episode, but I don't know what they do for the rest of the season (and forward) after all that happened in this one.

Nucky certainly has been a psychopath so far this season. I'm just wondering if HBO plans on renewing it for another season or if they are going to kill him off and making him more "hateable" as the season progresses?
If you watched Sunday's episode you know what I'm talking about.

I am waiting for the impeding blood bath and war. This is where not having Manny will hurt him. I wonder if he will bring back Two-Face for the war.
