Not sure what's going on with the one on the far right, that's not really a river system dumping there...

NC only has one river that goes straight to the ocean: the Cape Fear

Doesn't 'factoid' denote unreliable information usually?

Is that a factoid?

I'd like to see a picture of the Cape Fear river runoff, there are more hog farms in that basin than in the picture eCat posted. They got a lot more water down there, though, so it might be more diluted...

For those of you who don't understand the pig shit references above, here is the non-factoid history on that. A 1995 NYT article:

https://www.nytimes.com/1995/06/25/us/h ... olina.html

I was living in Fayetteville NC when that happened. When I saw how such a collossal environmental disaster like that eventually resulted in such trivial consequences for the polluters, I realized just how much power the hog processing industry has in North Carolina.

You obviously haven't been keeping up with recent court cases and awards...

When I moved away in '97, there didn't appear to be any consequences. But you're right in that I didn't exactly keep up with the latest developments on the Great North Carolina Inland Pig Shit Tsunami of 1995.

Please advise.
