I'm constantly stunned at people who kill their spouse and think they are going to get away with it.

Hell, just watch Gone Girl. He didn't even do it and was going to jail for it.

But we always have a plan just in case.

There was a cop near Chicago - Drew Peterson - who married four times.

Wife #2 told police he threatened to kill her and make it look like an accident. She divorced him.

Wife #3 was found dead in a dry bathtub. The coroner said it was an accidental drowning. That coroner was a good friend of Peterson.

Wife #4 disappeared.

Eventually, after public outrage, Peterson was convicted of murdering Wife #3.

Atlantic Beach was rocked. It is two miles across the sound from Hedge’s family’s place, and Hedge is riding out the storm. They’ve had a crazy amount of storm surge, 30+ inches of rain and hurricane force winds. Hope he made it out.

I do not understand people with the means to leave who ride these things out. I would go 250 miles inland. For this storm, maybe Atlanta. Road trip. Make a weekend of it.

Sitting in a flooded house with no AC or TV in southern heat just seems ridiculous.

Oh, traffic is bad, depending on the day and time you leave. I am fairly well versed in hurricane issues.
