Don't fool yourself. If the Royals take it to 7 he might not start but he'll sure as hell be available and ready.

cant see him going more then 2 innings
have to get it to 7 first
people round here act like all is lost
we are a much better team with the DH butler having aoki instead of dyson hitting second
plus being at hoome with 50K and the next 2 starters for sanfran we beat in game 2 and 3
its something that perez found out his buddy died in the early innings then smacks a triple

I could see Pey-pey pulling an Elway (even though he's already won a SB), i.e., being super highly touted throughout his career but still carrying the taint of playoff failures, but then winning back to back SB's to end his career and placing himself firmly and undisputedly in the pantheon, with the added bonus of doing it in Denver, just like Elway. Not saying Elway or Pey-pey wouldn't be in the pantheon without doing that (although Elway would've carried the larger taint of never having won an SB if he hadn't pulled of his back to back SB wins), but esp. by ending your stellar career with back to back SB's, even the haters won't have a leg to stand on (and Pey-pey would actually go out by going to 3 SB's in a row. If he wins the last two then retires, he'll easily be in the argument for greatest of all time, esp. with his resume up to this point, which is better than Elway's was before he won his two SB's in a row to close out his career)...

I don't see Baum starting but I see him ready to start warming up in the 2nd if things go shitty. They cannot sit him if things get dicey

There is no Game 8 so he will pitch at some point tonight.
