Sunseri is an excellent hire.

Also picked up a big DL recruit today aswell, McCullers.

The Sunseri rumors have been floating around since the Shanon rumors died down, but honestly nobody has a source with Dooley and he keeps things he wants kept quiet quiet. I was hoping the fact that he let it out he was interviewing Sunseri that meant he was very likely to take the job.

Supposed to be one heck of a recruiter, and a good LB coach. It is prolly a little risky making him a DC with no DC experience though, but I like the hire.

Another rumor is that the Navy coach was interviewing for a position coach, but I think that is just pie in the sky talk.

There is supposed to be a big ST coach that is mulling over his decision to come here as well.

I think the Oline coach was a good hire too.

Looks like Dooley may know what he is doing after all. It appears he got who he wanted for the most part and kept it quiet as he wanted as well, which made the idiots start posting any rumor they could think of.

I'm pretty happy with the hires, but I tend to trust Dooley's judgement anyway. So no matter who he picked, I would have probably been okay with it.

And I try not to get too excited about recruiting, but the McCullers commitment looks to be very positive news. He is a monster and we are in great need of talent in the middle of the DL. Pretty good day for the Vols all around, after a rough few weeks.

I missed the press conference. What did Dooley say?

He thanked Nick Saban and said that Nick was very gracious.

Sunseri is a savvy pickup.

UT hired a (former) longtime Saban assistant as HC, Lance Thompson, your new AD, the director of compliance, and now Sunseri from Bama. Seems to be a theme.

UT is following the Ohio State plan. If you can't beat them, hire them.

Won't matter, UT will always just be better than Vanderbilt but that's about it.

Sounds like Tennessee is where old Bama coaches go to retire.
