If UK gets Poly....whatever and Shabazz Muhammed, the 2012 class will be very good - I don't think they'll contend for #1 but they'll be good, especially with Ryan Harrow

If we only get Shabazz we'll survive.

If Shabazz jumps ship to UCLA, we may struggle a bit unless there is a 2 year rule or an extended lockout.

I realize that its absurd to complain and I'm not, I'm just pointing out that it looks like Cal is struggling a bit in locking some guys down and I'm not really sure why.

because he has yet to really win anything at UK, he's perceived as a person that stretches the rules and the hammer could come down anytime, and he bills himself as a pipeline to the NBA and there's no NBA right now?

yea maybe, but he still has the best sell of anyone about getting his guys to the NBA

"hey, I'll trash the college program if that is what it takes!"

who did he get to the NBA that otherwise wouldn't be there?

it's not like he's recruiting darkhorses & coaching them up into NBA talent

I read a report that Jeff Teague convinced his brother Marquis to go with UK because of Calipari's track record with pipelining point guards into the NBA

so Derek Rose, Tyreke Evans & John Wall would not have been one & done otherwise?

what has he ever done with a middle of the road point guard in terms of boosting their pro rating?

yea but he doesn't want darkhorses/middle of the road players so that isn't really relevant

but what he could tell them is that a rising tide raises all ships and your best chance to shine is on a team where NBA scouts are going to be paying attention.

Might not work on the kid but he won't lose sleep over it at this point if it doesn't.

Sorry Bluecat, I guess we can't cheat....err...recruit as well as good ole Kentucky U.

Say...didn't you guys lose like a season some years ago...I never saw them on TV so I would assume something happened with your'alls reception or something......

Ironic that a Farmer played on Kentucky U also.....

And before you start, Yes, Sampson texted me that post several times and called me about it several other times to make sure I was going to post it.

C'mon BRM, I want IU to be relevant again almost as much as you do.

Well, maybe not.

I'm just glad you guys were able to snag Peter Jurkin out from under the clutches of Penn State.

Enjoy the time now Bluecat. At some point they will be wiped out of the history books.

Keep clinging to that slim hope, BRM. Way things are going, there won't even be an NCAA in a few years. Why so bitter? At least you got the Colts...

So....which team out of St. John's and Arizona is going to step up in order to get the privilege of having their asses kicked by the Texas Aggies in MSG next week?
