its got nothing to do with that, I can separate those issues.

I was this way last year. I really do think a big part of it is just the one and dones. I like that the team is good every year, but whether we are good or not, we start over the following year.

I guess its a level of commitment that I just don't have any more. I'm not saying I won't watch the games on a cold night when there is nothing else to do, but if there is something else to do, I'm not going to choose UK basketball. For years the DVR gave me the option to choose, but I just find it harder to sit for 2 hours to watch a game if I don't really feel any connection to it.

Again, I'm not blaming Cal - UK is pretty much a juggernaut with college basketball. I'll never complain about a coach who consistently has us as a top 5 program and in the hunt for a national championship - without being scumbag cheaters who whine like little bitches when they get caught - but I'm just bleh about it.

If you gave me the choice of watching UK play against Morehead state or put a timing belt on an engine, I'm grabbing a wrench.

The only player on this year's team that I care to watch is Gabriel. Just something about that kid that I like. Wouldn't give 2 cents for the rest of the team. Could care less about the upcoming season. More than tired of the OADs. No highlight posts this year......... unless they play dook or the heeels and whup 'em.

That's the first time I have posted anything on my facebook page (aside from thanks for birthday wishes) in many years. As soon as I posted it, I could see that DS was typing a reply. How did you see it that quickly? I literally had just hit the post button when you started typing...

so the exchange student living with us had an all day tour in the city. I dropped her off in the morning at UC and then at 10 last night I was supposed to pick her up at some performing arts center in the heart of downtown.
So its a nice evening, about 65 degrees and I'm driving downtown, I have the windows down just enjoying the what's left of seasonal weather.

As soon as a I turn on Central Avenue, which is a like a 6 lane street about 300 feet from where I supposed to park and get the kid, a guy is running down the middle of the street, not the sidewalk but the street - screaming for help , "he's trying to shoot me, someone help me! HELP ME!" then he runs into a building and disappears. Its so rare that I go downtown, especially at night, that this struck me as surreal, but yet I wasn't surprised at all.

That story would've been even better if it had been your exchange student running down the street yelling "help me, help me!"

This is why I don't get into college basketball like I used to: http://www.charlotteobserver.com/opinio ... ml?ref=yfp

Cheating sonsuvbitches have ruined the game...

We just went to back-to-back championship games, won one of them and almost both of them, with one hand tied behind our back due to the crippling cloud of charges that were ultimately found to be baseless but that nevertheless damaged our ability to recruit to an almost incalculable amount. Yet Roy just went out and got far lower touted recruits than UK and Dook were raking and and molded them into champions, doing it the right way. Far from being ruined, that is college basketball at its finest...

Bruce Pearl refusing to cooperate with the FBI in the sneaker scandal. Auburn officials have told him his job could be in jeopardy and he hasn't even been named in the report yet.

Yeah, Pearl doesn't want to talk to anyone who can put him in actual jail for lying if he doesn't have to. I don't blame him.
