The Left can scarcely get any more convulsed and seized than they are right now, although they are still trying to outdo each other mightily, and they can still surprise me sometimes. They are already and routinely maxed out on their Cat 9 tsunamis and their grand mal political upheavals.

Even if SCOTUS were to repeal Roe, abortion law would just go back to the states. If that happened, and after Joe and Mika drove off a cliff holding hands like Thelma and Louise, and the democratic process played itself out at the state level, everybody would eventually notice that abortion is still legal in 46 out of the 50 states. With the millions of dollars that Planned Parenthood gets from the US taxpayer, they should be able to give a woman in Texas, South Carolina, Mississippi and Alabama a round trip Greyhound ticket, and maybe a night in a Motel 6, to get her abortion in a neighboring state.

That said, as pro-life as I am, I wouldn't try to repeal Roe yet. I would rather focus on changing the hearts and the minds of people first. Give democracy a chance. The goal would be that, if Roe is ever repealed, 4 states keep abortion legal and 46 make it illegal.

Something called "The Womens' March" hit the “submit” button a little bit early, and decried the nomination of Judge XX for the Supreme Court.

enator Chuck Schumer was asked a very awkward question in front of the Supreme Court Tuesday.

The Democratic minority leader held a press conference in front of the Supreme Court to decry Trump’s pick for the Supreme Court, Brett Kavanaugh.

Kavanaugh has received scorn from liberals who claim he will overturn Roe v. Wade and repeal Obamacare.

Before taking questions, Schumer attacked conservative outlets The Heritage Foundation and The Federalist Society for vetting the SCOTUS candidates and said Kavanaugh would be harmful to women’s health in America.

The first question asked by a reporter was incredible: “What about the fact that Harry Reid is the one who started the nuclear option, so now you’re faced with the nuclear option instead of the 60-vote [option]?”

Reid famously passed filibuster reform early in Obama’s second term, lowering the threshold to break a filibuster on the Senate floor from 60 to 51. This will make confirmation of Kavanaugh much easier for the slim GOP majority in the Senate.

Schumer blamed Leader McConnell for the controversial move.”Mitch McConnell blocked judge after judge after judge on the courts. Then, leader Reid had no choice. When we passed the law, we said Supreme Court should be different,” Schumer said. “Then Mitch McConnell changed that. And then to boot, he wouldn’t let Merrick Garland have a hearing. Mitch McConnell has had as his goal to create a hard right Supreme Court and nothing has stopped him.”

McConnell famously warned Democrats when passing the nuclear option, “You’ll regret this, and you may regret this a lot sooner than you think.”

Beyond the theatrics, Trump is right about Germany increasing its dependence on Russia who they claim is a threat to them. What will Germany do when Russia decides to cut them off? Or better yet, who will they look to (through NATO) to act militarily on their behalf? Bush 2 didn't like it, Obama didn't like it, but they were ignored. Maybe it takes theatrics to get the point across to Germany that you're a mooch.

When we relied on middle eastern oil, we had to go in there to protect our oil interests. So will Germany go after Russia? Hell, no. WIll they ask us? Hell, yeah.

So, Germany wants the following:

1. Cheap natural gas offered by a so called enemy.
2. Through NATO, wants us to protect their free flow of that cheap natural gas.
3. Still wants imbalanced trade with us on top of that.

Bullshit

Donald J Trump @ realDonaldTrump
Many countries in NATO, which we are expected to defend, are not only short of their current commitment of 2% (which is low), but are also delinquent for many years in payments that have not been made. Will they reimburse the U.S.?
10:01 AM - Jul 10, 2018
72.5K 35.1K people are talking about this

THE FACTS: There is no such debt to the U.S. or to NATO. Therefore, no delinquency or question of payment.

In 2014, before Trump was president, NATO members agreed to stop cutting their military budgets and set a goal of moving “toward” spending 2 percent of their gross domestic product on their own defense — by 2024. It was not a “commitment,” not a direct contribution to NATO, not a payment owed to the U.S., and not something that alliance members pledged to achieve immediately.

Trump is right that most NATO members are spending less than 2 percent of their GDP on their defense budget, though more are moving in that direction.
Trump has assailed NATO members such as Germany for lagging on their military budgets while he has simultaneously taken credit for progress on that front. He has repeatedly claimed that because of his pressure, “billions and billions of dollars are pouring in,” which is also not true, because there is no such fund for money to pour into.

Merkel colluded with the RUSSIANS!!! Who knew?

It gets worse: Merkel is a treasonous German who colluded with the Russians. Isn’t the name “Mueller”.... German? So if the Germans colluded with the Russians, and Robert Mueller is German, then this whole treasonous conspiracy becomes clear:

ROBERT MUELLER COLLUDED WITH THE RUSSIANS!!!

Connect the dots, people. The proof is right in front of you. It’s the distributive property!

Also, dumbshit lied when he said Germany gets 70% of their energy from Russia. They get 9%.

Can't wait for your take on the big Helsinki Summit, sardis. You've no doubt bought into your CiC's constant refrain that improved relations with Russia "is a good thing - not a bad thing." Putin's fine, we're all people etc.

Forget Trump. You’re missing the main event: Mueller colluded with the Russians! The proof is as plain as the nose on you face!

Our Democracy is in danger!

It is currently 9% and will increase significantly as they implement the pipeline to replace their nucleur sources. It also undermines their compadres in the Baltics. Obama and Bush were also against the pipeline for the same reason.

As far as the meeting with Putin, after this anti-Russian move by Trump, it should be interesting. I’m a little perplexed why you wouldn’t applaud the cutting off the German-Russian pipeline since giving Russia more leverage would be bad. Maybe with your accusation of me being all things Trump, the reality is you are all things anti-Trump even if it means being contradictory in your narrative on Russia.

I'm not a Papa John's fan but I do admit to enjoying him being an irritant to UL. He realized they were embezzling money and spoke up about it at a BOT meeting.

At any rate he was forced to resign as CEO when he said the NFL's policy of allowing players to kneel during the anthem was costing him money and now he's had to resign from something else for using the n-word

At first when I read the headline I thought he was stupid and arrogant for thinking he could just throw that out there, then I read the quote and he was saying that back in the day, Colonel Sanders said it and never got any backlash for it. - and as I understand it, this was a role playing phone call where they were walking him thru how to deal with public relations issues. So now we're at a point where if a white man repeats what another man said, even in properly used context of being a reference, its racist.

I am so tired of this horseshit.

Enjoying full-fat milk, yogurt, cheese and butter is unlikely to send people to an early grave, according to new research by The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth).

The study, published today in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, found no significant link between dairy fats and cause of death or, more specifically, heart disease and stroke – two of the country’s biggest killers often associated with a diet high in saturated fat. In fact, certain types of dairy fat may help guard against having a severe stroke, the researchers reported.

“Our findings not only support, but also significantly strengthen, the growing body of evidence which suggests that dairy fat, contrary to popular belief, does not increase risk of heart disease or overall mortality in older adults. In addition to not contributing to death, the results suggest that one fatty acid present in dairy may lower risk of death from cardiovascular disease, particularly from stroke,” said Marcia Otto, Ph.D.

Yeah I was just coming to post something about Papa John. The man was using the word in the proper context, there was no vile or hatred behind it, and really was trying to show how much he actually hates racism in our country.

But nope. Media gets the story and all the press headline is "Papa John uses N-word in conference call" or "Papa John talks about how black people were pulled behind on trucks". No context, no facts, nothing. Headlines is where most people now make their opinions and never read beyond that or go into it with a slanted perspective.

Fuck media that does this. It is just getting plain stupid now and I hope and pray that the voting middle class of all colors notices this bullshit and keeps voting the way they do. I want more Trumps in every office possible. I want hollywood to go eat an entire buffet of dicks.

Keep giving the finger to all these folks until real common sense comes back into fashion.
