I wish Kennedy well. His tendency to be all over the place ideologically was annoying, but he was way better than a Socialist like Ginsburg or Breyer. And he went out in a blaze of glory with the past week's decisions. I'm just thankful he was apparently in a conservative mood recently. This was a perfect ending to what will go down in history as the Week from Hell for Liberal Jurisprudence. For finishing so strong, I am seriously considering giving Kennedy my highest honor - the official Professor Tiger "Peace Be Upon Him."

Prominent Democratic pollster Mark Penn said on Thursday that a vast majority of Americans don’t really support so-called sanctuary cities that shield immigrants in the country illegally from deportation.

Penn, who served as chief strategist for Hillary Clinton's 2008 presidential campaign, revealed that 84 percent of Americans favor turning undocumented immigrants over to federal agents.

“I asked them, ‘Do you think notifying ICE [Immigration and Customs Enforcement] would in fact increase crime because it would inhibit people from reporting crimes or does it decrease crimes because it takes criminals off the street,’ and they overwhelming said ‘decrease,’ ” Penn told Hill.TV's “Rising.”

Penn said the response was strikingly “out of sync” with what the public might think about sanctuary cities. The broad term refers to cities that don’t fully cooperate with federal authorities when it comes to turning over people in the country illegally to immigration enforcement.

“When someone’s arrested, they expect someone will notify federal immigration authorities just as they would expect someone who violates state tax law will find out that they notified the IRS,” the pollster said.

Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) has canceled weekend events in Alabama and Texas due to a “very serious death threat,” according to a statement reported by CNN Thursday.

The threat follows Waters’ controversial call to protesters to confront members of the Trump administration in public over their support for the president’s zero tolerance policy against immigrants.

Waters’ statement says she received an increased number of hate calls and death threats after President Donald Trump attacked her on Twitter Monday and in a series of other comments.

There are 10 Dem senators that are up for reelection where Trump carried their state in 2016. They will have to vote yea or nay on Trump's justice nominee before the election.

RE: the sanctuary city poll, there is a significant movement among Democrats to abolish, or at least neutralize, ICE. Kamala Harris is among them. If they insist on signaling their virtue, piss off voters between the coasts, and lose elections, then I am all for it.
