No way Rick ever coaches another game. He will be gone very soon. Louisville and Miami are gonna be the schools in the most trouble here that we know about so far. They are involved in recruiting and amateurism in this thing, and there is evidence esp Louisville with regard to what Pitino is quoted as saying, that they knew they were playing ineligible players. They will have to cut ties with Rick immediately just to try to plead for mercy from the NCAA IMO.

All the other ones are bribery and wire fraud charges that seem to be involving taking bribes to steer players to agents. Chuck Person and Auburn, no where in there is anything about paying players, or recruiting inducements. Its Person agreeing to take money from an agent in exchange for convincing players he has influence with to sign with that agent in the future. I'm sure Auburn is gonna get some heat, but its not the same issue as the Louisville shit with adidas

Pat Forde has earned himself a lengthy screed from Mecca today:

Actually looks like Arizona, Oklahoma State, South Carolina, USC etc probably fucked as well. The affidavits do say that there was a conspiracy to pay players. I dont see any evidence of that in the Auburn one though.

Man, that story hits a bunch of Goat Pen sweet spots. Kentucky's shame, which was merely used as a lead-in to Louisville's shame. More mentions of shame and tawdriness. Shakespeare. The word "tainted". Good stuff...

2 things that jumped out: Person made 20 mil playing pro ball ...wth was he getting paid at AU? Surely not enough to risk federal prison.

And Louisville got smacked by the NCAA and weeks later 2 asst coaches are funneling addidas money to Bowen? Wouldn't you lay low for at least half a season or so? Talk about hubris

Forde co wrote a book with Pitino and for years had refused to see the dirt. Its a big deal to write that article

I'm hoping that is true, although Bruce Pearl might be joining Pitino in the never coaching again community

Of course, you can't publish your glee over Louisville just yet, until UK is clearly out of the woods...

at this point, I'll be honest. I will be surprised if UK isn't mentioned.

But if UK isn't, I'm gonna make sure everyone knows about it for the next 10 years ....looking at you Cletus

If UK gets hit, the FBI better already have proof in hand because there's one thing Cal is truly gifted at and that's getting out of a noose around his neck.
