Those protest signs seem to focus on the cause of 99% of homicides of black people, instead of the >1% of homicides of blacks by white cops. As such, these protests are racist and people in them are Uncle Toms.

Activists have been marching/organizing against black-on-black crime at least 40 years. In specific, Dr, Ralph Dawson at CalState LA, Jim Brown, Rev. Carl Washington, Community/Youth Gang Services & others organized months of protests against Black-on-Black violence in Los Angeles in 1992, which led to:

The Watts truce was a peace agreement among rival street gangs in Los Angeles. Although not universally adhered to, the truce was a major component of the decline of street violence in the city during the 1990s. It was declared between warring gangs in the community of Watts in the days just before the 1992 Los Angeles riots. After 20 years of internecine warfare that waged across the public housing projects of Los Angeles two rival "sets" within the infamous Crips gang decided that enough was enough.
The Grape Street Crips of Jordan Downs and P Jay Crips of Imperial Courts (Bounty Hunters Bloods) Nickerson Gardens, met in the Imperial Courts Project gym to negotiate peace.[1] Football legend and activist Jim Brown, and hip-hop artist the West Coast Rap All-Stars helped the rivals to negotiate their peace accord; the factions would go on to draft a formal peace treaty modeled on a previous ceasefire reached between Egypt and Israel. Within days, despite the raging fires in downtown, most of the black gangs in LA declared themselves at peace. This truce is no longer in effect, though it effectively reduced street violence for the better part of a decade.[2]
Sadly, the Rodney King Riots overshadowed the news coverage, but black gang violence in Los Angeles dropped significantly for 23 years (it has shot back up in the last 6 months).
You all DO remember the Rodney King Riots? Cops beat and cripple an unarmed black man for speeding, brag about it on their car-to-car messaging systems not realizing there's a video tape? Venue changed to Simi Valley (home of the Reagan Library), cops acquitted, black people go nuts, Feds step in and get a conviction?

CBS News confirms one of the suspects is named Syed Farook, an American citizen. One of the other suspects is reportedly his brother. The female’s relationship to either man is unknown.

The brother is no longer a suspect. Since Farook worked in the building, he may have just been a disgruntled county employee who decided to shoot up the workplace. Although the last big Klan rally in the state took place in San Bernardino County, it's really one of the more tolerant "red" counties in the state, especially towards muslims. I would be more suspicious if the guy/gal were members of the Nation of Islam study group in Rialto, but last I knew the guy who ran them was trying to become a movie producer.
There are tons of gun shows, etc., in/near San Bernardino, and even as tough as California's gun laws are, it's too easy to get assault rifles.
It's not the gun's fault . . . but he would have had a much harder time trying to stab 14 people to death.
