She must look her best if she's gonna be able to snag one of the rich kids at the expensive school for a husband.

I think if they are 8 or more you should try doxycycline and retin A cream both cheap and both effective

here a link--http://acne.about.com/od/teensacne/a/teentreatments.htm

you really have to educate yourself eCat--dermatologists are salesman too--they wilkl go with whoever brings them the most percs--drug reps can be very persuasive especially since they usually stepped out of a centerfold. avoid accutane

click on the list of antibiotics--tetracycline/minocycline and doxycline are all resonalbe and often just as effective. tell your doc she couldnt tolerate the 500 dollar alternativie

she is taking Doxycycline-

Doxycycline is often used for people who do not respond to or cannot tolerate erythromycin or tetracycline. The dosage of doxycycline is started at 50 to 100 mg twice a day. It should be taken with food; otherwise it can cause significant nausea. Doxycycline is more likely than tetracycline to increase sensitivity to the sun, or cause sunburns.

hence why she puked it up this morning taking it on an empty stomach, she is doing Retin in the morning and something that comes in a "tub" in the evenings that they had to mix just before they gave it to us at the pharmacy. Maybe its Benzaclin? I don't know.

I probably didn't help my cause with the doctor because I told her in so many words that I didn't want to keep coming back here if the medicine was working just to pay her $120 for an office visit for the purpose of getting the prescription refilled.

Its May and I'm about $400 away from hitting my deductible. Crazy year so far

The MIF picks up healthy supplies of retin A every time we go to Mexico...

But the main point here is eCat's superior child rearin' skills. He's teaching his daughter early that it's not brains or personality that counts, only looks. Good work, eCat. Next stop: Boob job. I would wait at least until her sophomore year for that, however...

some things you can't fight.

given her momma - I suspect not only boob jobs, but she's gonna be right tatted up by the time she hits 30.

but I'm ok with that. She's a good kid.

30?? Hell, the MIF's youngest got one shortly after she turned 18, the MIF told her not to, but it was a small hummingbird on her side and the MIF has always talked about how every time she sees a hummingbird, she thinks it's a sign from her deceased husband (if not the man himself, karmically transformed into the very bird itself - yes, she really believes this kind of stuff), so she thought that was kinda sweet, and again, it was pretty small. Then the girl kept talking about getting another one, the MIF was adamant against it, but a few months later, the girl walks in with a phases of the moon (like 8 different moons) all the way down her spine. She showed it to me first, knowing that I'm a much softer touch as far as those things go than the MIF, but even I was like "Whoa, that's a lot bigger than I thought." The MIF was not happy when she saw it, to say the least. Sadly enough, all her friends tell her how cool they think it is, so the initial talk of getting it removed went out the window...

certainly could be wrong, but we've already had the talk about how she thought something like Sponge Bob was cool at 8 years old and if I asked her at 8 what kind of tattoo she wanted she would have wanted a sponge bob, so the same logic applies at 18 - what she thinks is cool then may seem stupid when she is 30, but around 30 you're less prone to get the flaming skeleton with the snake crawling out its eye sockets and get something more personal to you.

Also I'm hoping socially she is at a point then where she views a tattoo as bit trashy.

Yeah, our girl went thru about 7 different phases of what she wanted, only to think it was uncool within a few weeks. Every time, we'd be like "See? What if you had gotten that and now you would hate it." So I guess after going thru 7 different phases of what she wanted, she just decided to get the all in phases of the moon...

"Also I'm hoping socially she is at a point then where she views a tattoo as bit trashy."

Do you ever try to emphasize that point by saying "I completely agree. Just look at your mother..."? I'd love to see the fallout from that comment...

well I have two as well so I can't say much - but I hope the daughter decides its not her thing.
