Wow. He had a great conservative resume, but he had zero charisma. That doomed him in this pop culture reality TV culture.

Pataki, Jindal, Graham, Huckabee, Gilmore, and Santorum should follow his lead since they don't have a prayer.

From Article 6 of the Constitution:

The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States.

Toe and Dr. Ben don't favor a strict constructionist reading of the Constitution on this clause, at least

The gender of Carly Fiorina won''t affect the Dem "War on Women" meme. She might become to the Dem feminists what Clarence Thomas is to Dem blacks.

What king....queen....mullah....president....el presidente.....senator...pope....supreme leader....has lifted more people out of poverty/created a bigger middle class than capitalism?
Daraprim is a life-saving drug that fights parasitic illnesses and has been around for 62 years. Some snot-nosed money manager bought the rights to the drug and raised the per pill price from 13.50 to 750.00 overnight, and is giving the middle finger to the world. Turns out there's a lot of this kind of gouging going on of late in the pharma universe. (gouging.. or effective market principles, depending on your pov and/or health status)

A man is entitled to up to four wives, but a woman may only have one husband. In Western societies, a man typically only takes one wife.

Wife beating permitted according to some scholars

There is no joint property; the man owns all property

A woman becomes subservient to her husband and needs his permission to: "leave the house, take up employment, or to engage in fasting or forms of worship other than what is obligatory."

Sharia law is the quintessential war on women which two-faced dems have no problem with, only when a conservative voices his/her OPINION on not wanting a muslim president do the two-faced folks get their panties in a wad.

Muslims have worked and paid taxes and held public office in America for over two hundred years. The threat of Sharia Law in America is a tea party/rwnj invention. Whereas religious fanaticism from the likes of Kim Davis is very real.

lol, nothing to do w/my quote you reference. You just taking up the ignorance side, filling in for JD?

How about the gouging that took place up until last year on oil....everybody (lib and cons) basically payed double for gas thanks to stoopid dem/environmentalist/epa tyranny. Talk about affecting the poor.

The snot-nosed folks have been around a while.....

As Dawson grew, so did the fortunes of those who made the right business decisions. While most men devoted their energies to working a single claim, Alex McDonald, a Nova Scotian whose shy, awkward manner belied a canny business sense, bought up the claims of discouraged miners and hired others to work them for him. He earned $5 million and the title ‘King of the Klondike’ without ever lifting a pick or shovel. The ‘Queen of the Klondike,’ Belinda Mulroney, took another route to riches. She arrived in the Klondike in the spring of 1897 with $5,000 worth of cotton clothing and hot-water bottles, which she sold for $30,000.

WASHINGTON, March 29— The White House said today that in 1978 Hillary Rodham Clinton invested $1,000 in commodities futures and that the investment grew in 10 months of trading in the notoriously volatile market into a gain of nearly $100,000.

The quote mentioned unfettered capitalism. The daraprim farce is destined to be a classic example of same. If you can't see the connection...what is there left to say?

Ok, now, have your examples answered the original question??? That is, who/what/where is there a system/gubment/religion that has brought more people out of poverty than capitalism?
