Not the whole SEC. Mainly Ole Miss and Tennessee.

I don't think it was oversigning, it includes walk-ons and redshirts.

M has adopted the ACC and SEC's methods in recruiting, though. They had 28 commits last year.

Michigan is going to be a major factor now that Harbs is there. They weren't hitting on much the year before he got there and he took what was there and turned it around last year. If they had beaten tOSU this year, Michigan would be in the playoffs, and that's with barely anybody that Harbaugh recruited. He's going to be signing a lot of the top talent in the country. In the next year or two, they're going to be a perennial force. They've got all the elements for CFB success, rabid fan base, top facilities, the whole nine yards. A great coach was the only missing element, and now they've got that...

In 2015, Tennessee had 30, UGA had 29, Ole Miss and USCe each had 28.

In 2014, Tennessee had 32 and Kentucky had 29.

Butch must have created a huge wave of medical hardships to make those numbers work.

Gators fortunately drew an offensively challenged bowl team. Nice work by the defense, I hope a few of the juniors come back.

Mac has had some of the worst QB luck as a coach... Last season and this year losing his starter really disrupted the offense.

The 'starter' was a journeyman on his 3rd team and the backup a grad transfer from Purdue. Not the makings of a contender team, though it didn't really matter who was QB given the thin and milquetoast OLine. Mac has not been making waves on the recruiting front which is the prime place of concern.

Mac's lack of recruiting success so far is surprising. I say "so far" because they only have 15 commits so far, so he can still make up lost ground with a strong finish on NSD.

It's surprising because Florida has always recruited well. They are the flagship program in one of the most talent-rich states in the country. The Gators always get their fair share of all that in-state talent - especially since the "Noles and 'Canes aren't dominating right now.

It's also surprising since Mac learned at the feet of the Dark Lord of recruiting. He should have learned something. Another Saban disciple - Kirby Smart - learned those lessons well. UGA's current class is barely behind Saban's. Kirby must have found a cooperative men's clothing store owner/ Dawg booster in Athens.

It is very surprising - Zook and Muschamp were pulling in better classes.

UF loads up on receivers and DBs to get to around #10 in the NSD rankings (still behind 5 SEC schools) but adds only 3 interior OLinemen. Looking like more of the same awaits us.

Strong finish for UF, after being ranked #50 or whatever a month ago. FSU only got one OL this year but it wasn't a need after a crazy good OL haul last year. It'll be fun to see if Trask is up to the Task ahead of him or if they'll set Franks loose.

Athlon and S&S on the racks this weekend. UF ranked #16 in one and #13 in the other. Bammer and Bucknuts are the quinella in both.

Congrats to the new CWS champions. That's a football, basketball, and baseball NC in a 10 year span.

They're barely getting in under the statute of limitations you're proposing on the basketball NC, but that's more than offset by the fact that the '07 title was a repeat. Irregardless, NC's in the big 3 in 10 years is impressive. Any fan would be psyched about that...

Yeah, it's about 10 weeks beyond 10 years if one wants to get all legaleeze, but I'm rounding down to whole numbers. Four schools had previously pulled the trifecta (UCLA, OhioSt, OklaSt, and Michigan) with the shortest span going to the Bucknuts between 60 and 68.

Like I said, the fact that the '07 title was a repeat more than offsets the barely expired 10 year window. I would guess that UCLA is the only school to have multiple titles in all 3 sports within the 10 year window (well, in UF's case, 11 year window)...
