Well it's been a while (7-8 years) but I see nothing has changed. Still, only Duke can beat Duke... that is all
btw, whatever became of that creepy bastard, onion?

"Still, only Duke can beat Duke..."

They seem to do that quite regularly. I don't think this year will be any different. If one of their shooters goes cold (not to mention two or more), which I would say is highly likely at some point over the next 6 games, they're going to have a tough time. That's been proven more than a few times this year, even fairly recently. They lost 3 out of their last 4 regular season games and they also lost 3 out of 4 earlier in the regular season, including to a ridiculously bad NCState team.

Now they've won 4 in a row. Can they win 6 more in a row without a hiccup? I doubt it. I don't think they would've beaten us if Roy, like you just knew he was going to do, hadn't taken out Joel Berry for over 10 minutes and then thought he could magically come back in with under 4 minutes left and turn everything back around. That was just stupid, but of course you knew that's exactly what he was going to do. He should've taken Berry out for 4 or 5 minutes and then put him back in instead of letting him sit there and get cold and let Duke focus on Jackson.

Whatever, maybe they would've beaten us anyway even if Berry hadn't gone out near the beginning of the second half, but while Berry was in the game, we sure seemed well in control. No doubt Duke has talent, but their history of tourny stumbles with just as much talent as this year's team is too extensive to ignore...

Kentucky held it together well. They have the talent to go all the way...and Fox is stepping up.

Arkansas got a little chippy there at the end

unless something unexpected happens, most bracket predictions have UK and UNC in the same region.

Duke and UNC should get 2 seeds but I guarantee you Duke will get a 1 along with Nova, Zaga and Zona.

UNC got an easy ride for 2-3 games. The regional final not so much but it's the regional final.

Duke got screwed but so did Nova. If Nova is the top overall seed, that means Duke is 8th.

I'm just glad to see Seth Davis and Gary Parrish completely wrong after leading the charge on Twitter yesterday for Duke to be a No. 1 seed. I thought Duke & UNC should be No. 2 seeds but it seems as though the seeding was completed before this weekend.

that tells me that conference tourney games - at least after the first one - don't mean anything

Michigan didn't benefit either

its doesn't really matter if you are 1 - 4 other than maybe location if your fans travel.

Bottom line is if you're 1-4 you're going to get an easy team, a mid tier team and then have to play 2 good teams

The 5-12 game has kind of the line in the sand - that's where things get screwy

This is what should have happened. Arizona also got screwed (far worse than Duke or Kentucky.)

Duke didn't deserve a No. 1 seed. All the talk about its big wins, it also had some ugly losses and you can't ignore that. For that matter, I think UNC should have lost its top seed when it lost to Duke. The Pac-12 should have gotten that 1 seed that went to the ACC.
