that kept me busy for awhile

I sold my Ninja to a kid last night - like 19 years old who drove 2 hours to get to my house.

He asked me if he needed a trailer and I asked him "as opposed to what...riding it home?" and he said yes.

I told him I thought it was a bad idea and I'd feel better about him getting used to the bike before taking it on the interstate and he said OK.

So last night he shows up at 8:00pm (with a 2 hour drive back) in a Camry with two girls.

WTF, I gave him the title and the bill of sale, he handed me a wad of cash and I wished him well.

I expected to get a call around midnight with bad news but I never did so I assume he's OK.

At least I hope that's the case. Honestly I hope I never hear from or about him again. I checked the motorcycle accident reports this morning and there were no reports.

Had another kid show up who was about the same age with a pregnant girlfriend who was closer to 16 than she was drinking age and begged me to wait until Saturday where he could come up with the money to buy it. Spending his last dime on a damn 8 year old motorcycle with a pregnant girlfriend. I'm glad I didn't sell it to him.

also last night, some guy called me up and wanted to trade me a Bengal tiger for the bike.

wtf? It actually left me speechless, I just had to process what he had just said for a few moments.

So, the wife is somewhat down today. She just found out her doctoral advisor died. Had a good life though. Lived to 84, graduated 100's of doctorates.

I wouldn't mind making it to 84 before I checked out.
