"I’ve got three millenial kids: two are stalwart Libertarian conservatives like me."

That's funny. You're not a stalwart libertarian conservative, you're a reactionary evangelical christian. Like most of your ilk, you're just barely intelligent enough to know the difference and hypocritical enough to try to pass yourself off as something you're not...

"The following article explains it better than I."

A mime could explain it better than you...

That would come as a shock and a relief to all my evangelical relatives.

Don’t try your hand at religious taxonomies, hedge. It’s not your strong suit. Stick to “I wish you were _____” memes. You’re good at that.

There's pretty much only one religious taxonomy, you either believe in some extraterrestrial god or you don't. I will grant you that within the taxonomy of "the religious" there are widely (and wildly) different levels of behavior and authorization its adherents base upon and directly refer to said belief, but the perversion of reason that allows them to base any behavior whatsoever upon the supposed express intentions of an extraterrestrial god is the real problem to begin with...

It's so refreshingly easy nowadays. No tedious and laborious analysis or critical thinking in shades of gray. Everything can now be boiled down to a nice easy "Y'er with us, or ag'in' us!" black and white choice.

Reference to shades of gray is sometimes an excuse to not take any position at all...

It’s winter. It’s snowing in Alaska. A lot.

To rational, intelligent people, this is hardly news. But according to the Scientific American and the Washington Post, a lot of snow in Alaska in December is a fulfillment of their holy prophecy that the world is turning into a sauna and it’s all man’s fault.

You just can’t make this stuff up.

It's weird that you didn't post anything about all the record warm temps that were set in November in the western US. That post must be in draft or something.

NOAA has already been caught falsifying their data by changing the way they measure temperatures. They HAD to change the way they were measuring temperatures in order to get rid of that pesky 15 year “pause” in global warming that their old methods kept producing. And as the good scientists that they are, they changed their procedures to conform to the desired result, just like all good scientists do.

Almost as absurd as insisting that extra snow in Alaska in December proves global warming, and it’s all humans’ fault. Nitwittery.

The Clive Bundy trial is interesting.

His son is found not guilty for taking over that park (which is a head scratcher) and now he gets a mistrial because the government withheld information showing the feds potentially acted illegally.

This actually has a little bit of Waco smell of it, as the Bundy's are claiming the FBI/BLM wanted a confrontation to turn violent in an effort to make the public side with the government.

No they haven’t. If you are interested, I can show you plenty of materials that refute the Daily Mail article that you are surely referring to. But I already know that you aren’t interested.

No, I’m not. I’m sure you can find articles by CNN and other fake news factories to maintain AGW dogma at all costs. But now that you have finally found a religion that you can embrace and get passionate about, I have little interest in dissuading you against it. After all, I am a firm believer in the free exercise of religion. Therefore, I only wish you well on your own personal faith journey.

It'd be much more entertaining to link the materials written about Hillary's landslide election.

Maybe.....start here......this one includes scientists....heh

But can Donald Trump really win the 2016 Republican presidential nomination?

Knowledgable people think he might. They include some journalists, some former Republican consultants and operatives, talk show host Bill Maher and a contestant from season three of NBC’s The Apprentice, who now is co-chairperson of Trump’s Iowa operation.

But more-knowledgable people think he won’t. They include the quants and geeks, some Republican consultants and operatives, and lots of political scientists.

A trio of political data experts empanelled by FiveThirtyEight for a podcast earlier this month estimated Trump’s chances of snagging the nomination at 2%, 0% and minus-10%, respectively.

“If Trump is nominated, then everything we think we know about presidential nominations is wrong,” Larry Sabato, head of the center for politics at the University of Virginia, wrote last week.

They tried to model rational behavior. It's easier to do but was clearly a mistake.

Of course rational behavior says water vapor is a green house gas.
