Yep, it was there for the taking for UNC but couldn't hit FTs, couldn't get the 2 biggest rebounds of the night and let Duke hit too many 3s. Still, I have to believe that was about as good as Duke is going to play and they needed every bit of it.

I guess it should be comforting that it took UK's and now Dook's pretty much best game to beat us in nail-biters, but somehow it isn't. Dook looked great tonight, but any team is going to look great when they shoot 50% from the 3 (and took a lot of them) and hit better than 80% of their free throws (meanwhile we shot 33% from 3 and an abysmal 55% of our free throws). It's just their latest version of live by the 3, die by the 3. Hard to think they can shoot like that 6 games in a row come tourny time, and if they're not hitting their 3's, they're in trouble, b/c their inside game was not impressive at all...

Joel Berry is shooting 87% free throws this season, he missed the front end of a one and one and then his next trip to the line he missed the first of two. I wonder when the last time he missed two ft's in a row?

I knew this was going to happen. I was surprised that UNC played as well as it did inside without Hicks.

I'm angry because the better team lost. Dook played its best but still needed UNC to give them the damn game.

If this team can ever be completely healthy with Jackson and Berry playing at the top of their games/with their heads screwed on correctly, I like their chances...as long as they rotate better on perimeter defense.
